Shop Names

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Shawn F., Dec 21, 2008.

  1. Well I thought there was already a thread like this on here but I searched many pages with no luck so here we go... Can you guys post up some links or just names of local shops or well known shops? I am trying to come up with some ideas instead of the basic something "customs", etc. Pretty much shop names that do customs, hot rods, cycles, paint/body work, engine, detailing, etc etc, a good all around name.
    Thanks!

  4. Uncle Bitches haha that is good. How long have them been there for, I grew up around that area but dont recall it. My father may know of it.
As for the reason I am doing this is I have been trying to come up with a name for a detailing and custom business. I like to do a little bit of EVERYTHING but right now the detailing thing is kicking ass and the custom stuff is still fine and I like doing the paint/body work, custom air brush stuff, some mechanic work, etc. I dont want a long ass name and something with an available domain name. I will be doing some mobile bumper repair, detailing and such on new vehicles, hot rods and high end exotics but my taste is the old shit of course. I'll be driving around a 66 F100 with the probably over done shop truck look to it but with nice shiney paint, logos on the door and pulling an enclosed trailor.
I have a main part of the name but need to figure out if I should add customs, garage, auto works, rod and customs or whatever at the end.
Anyways, please continue with the names I really appreciate it. I'm sure something soon will hit me and I'll like it.

I'm partial to Hudson Valley Hot Rods. Don't know how well known it is though.

  6. Spinner's Steer n Gear was the name on my shop. I have closed it down for now, better paying gig, but will reopen maybe next year in my own building.

It took a while for us to nail down the name and logo for our shop, but I still really like what we came up with with "Driven Customs"

Sounds like a rock band ,Lets get a catchy name first, then we'll learn to play..

If you're good ,all you need is a building and your tools.
    People will find you.

Fly under the radar for a while. have fun.

The "Name" will come when its ready
