sf bay...new racetrack??--o.t. maybe

heard today from a freind that there will be a new race complex at the old NAS Alameda!! drag/motocross/somekind of open wheel-ala indy style/ etc...anyone in the bayarea confirm this??... mods kill it if need be.

 

Can't confirm it ... but that would be cool (oh how I miss Fremont Drag Strip / Baylands Raceway Park).

The Discovery Channel "Mythbusters" TV show uses the former NAS Alameda runways for many of their experiments ... and I think scenes in one of the Matrix movies were filmed there as well.

 

new racetrack has been graded and paved in Gr*** Valley,Oregon. Not sure when it will open have seen drawings. set up several different road course configurations.
