I thought I saw a thread once with pictures of tractor noses, like Oliver, Farmall, Case, etc. but I can't seem to find it.
Anyone got pictures of these or similar types of grill shells used on hot rods?
    Thanks!

Here's my Ross shell. I'm pretty sure it is from a forklift, not a tractor.

Because alot of us cant afford the outrageous prices some people ask for a decent grill so we build or buy what we can afford.

Now that is a Bullshit statment trying to rationalize useing Stupid parts on you Rod.

I do ALOT of scouting & Swap meet Scrounging and a couple of recent deals i have seen blow that statement right outa the water.

I saw one of them Oliver grills for sale at a swap for just around $250.00.

I also came accross a '28 Ford Commercial truck shell, painted nice and very solid with no repairs ors rust for $40.00 ... I sould have bought it but didnt.

Another clear case of Computer Hot Rodding... get off the screnn & hit some swaps and you will find what you want at a resonable price sooner or later.

Just like the Pre War WIEAND Tall 2x2 Flathead intake i scored for $60.00.

Its out there cheap for those who wanna look, And tractor grill are there for those who wanna LOOK CHEAP.

I've seen some that look gross and some that look nice. My truck above has been called a lot of things, now I guess I can add *ratty*.
Captainjunk, just click on my user name. My truck is pretty well documented here in Hamb land.

DE SOTO, I'm sure you will have some witty response for me, but I run that shell because I like that shell. I would have happily paid more than the $5 it cost me.

All i can say is it should be back on the Forklift it cam from.

That car would look 100% better with a '32 shell or a Commercial '28-'29 shell.

Looks like a Real Nice car Otherwise.

If you have the skill to make a tractor grill flow with the contours of your car and make it look good, then who gives a rat's ass? That green car on top is a perfect example. It looks great to me and is as far from a rat rod as you can get. What's funny is a bunch of tractor grills from the 30's were designed to look like cars from the era. Look up an old Graham tractor for instance.

Naysayers: post pics of your grills.

If you think that green car on top is a rat rod you're a moron.

Father DE SOTO is in da house!

I like that green truck, but I agree it would benifit from a 'real' grill treatment :)

Isnt that the truth. I get tired of seeing the same old thing all the time...thats what I like about hot rodding...being able to express yourself in your own way. who wants to be like everyone else.
