I see the new Rod and Custom is on the store shelves and it has the Orbitron story in it.

that's really cool. it's amazing where some of these incredibly influential pieces end up some times. makes you really want to get the hell out there and start looking under tarps.

pretty sure roth was ashamed of it himself and probably wishes it would have never resurfaced but its a neat piece of history none the less !

go to the rappin section on page78. read the one titled "not a fan of the 60s" he calls the atomic punk, and cars like it "futuristic' miscarriages. i realize that style is not for everybody, but nobody and i mean NOBODY can tell me thats not the baddest bubble top ever!!!

I haven't seen the new R&C yet, but I can't imagine the story is better than the one that ran in Garage 17 by David Burge.

I guess it shows to go ya, dont throw anything away! Man how could Ed Roth not want to hold on to the cars he built?

You always have a way with words Bruce..hahaha

  21. I think it is great that they found the car, restored it and that it will remain a part of custom Roth history. My personal tastes are not along this line, but who cares.

I haven't gotten mine either. Is it on the cover? Are there a lot of pictures?

There are two different covers for the new R & C. One has the Roth car front and center and LIVE WIRE up by the Rod & Custom title, the other cover the car positions are flipped. I got the cover I didn't prefer, but thats OK. M. McFly

I bet EVEL is quite GAY about having his car featured in R & C. I'm sure he is SUPER GAY about it being on one version of the cover as well. I guess he will be showing how GAY he is in his Mad Fab 5.5. He will be even more GAY if MF 5.5 sells good! Marty McFly

Has anyone discovered the real reason that the car was in front of a tijuana porn shop....purposely used to collect trash. There is a reason.
