Oh Bullshit! You guys need to lighten up a bit. We are hotrodders but we are people too and we may have more interests than just hotrods.

I have fond memories of hearing that song as a child riding in my aunts 54 Dodge convertible in the early 60's and she adored Ertha Kitt's music,,,Santa Baby was imprinted on me for life,,,

She was also born in South Carolina and could sing in 10 different languages,,,

And then there was Catwomwn,,,, RIP,,,,,,,,,HRP

 

Ertha's Santa Baby is one of my wife's favorites. I actually got her everything in that song this year for her present (well, toy versions anyway except the ring was real). A beautiful lady with an incredible voice and probably the sexiest catwoman ever.

 

RIP!! I still listen to her music in my '53 Vic Custom...

 

Don't ya love these guys who have to rain on other peoples' parade? Have some respect fer chrissakes.

RIP Miss Kitt - there will never be another like you and your memory lives on in your songs and music.

 

I'm sad, I loved her. She went through hell as a mixed race child in the South, to rise above that is beyond heroic, she deserves a eulogy and one from hot rodders is quite appropriate.
