have you not been paying attention at all? Damn 2 1/2 years and you don't know? There are probably 20 threads that are loaded with Rivieras. I'm sure there are a couple of build threads.

I really LOVE mid-'60's Buick Riveria's, One of the Nicest cars of that era in my opoinion! On my list of wanted cars for sure.Really nice mild custom, early low rider, one of the best uses for Astro Supremes!:D

V8Buick.com has alot of info. Scroll down to 'da Nailhead forum.

  7. AACCA has a Riviera section....... And there are some serious Riv nuts on there. I learned a bunch for my 64 on there.
Yes there are custom Riv's on this as well, not just stockers.

    Riv's rule

You can join the ROA (Riviera Owners Association) for about $30 a year and get a news letter and access to lots of info on their site. I joined while I was building my 64 and got lots of good info. If you need parts for it check out Clarks Corvair... great people to deal with and quality parts.

  10. Damn, I'm dumb. At two in the morning Riviera is hard to spell correctly, no wonder I didn't find anything with a search. Thanks guys.

It appears to be a Gran Sport also. And looks like it is already on Air Bags... Good score!

  17. Richard...Rivieras are just a great car and they are easily customized/personalized and just a great cruiser...finishing up mine (just little details now) and it's just a blast to cruise...have fun with yours and looking forward to see what you do with it...here's a pic of mine

  19. bitchin score richard..

  20. Wasn't mine yet; but one three A.M. test drive sealed the deal. The car has airbags already installed, but whoever did it yeas ago did a shitty job; we just got through re-welding the shock mount that broke off. No biggie. I already have the hood off and it's sanded down; gonna get some paint tomorrow and do a twenty footer special on it, the roof, and the decklid. Dark Horse next Sunday!

  21. I was told by the guy I bought it from, as well as another friend who knows Rivis, including and this particular car, (and has a bad ass '65 himself)that it is not a GS, just has the emblems and glove box door from a GS. I don't care, I'm still stoked.

Sweet ride, I would be stoked too. Rivieras are awesome!

  23. Nice score! I used to have a 65 Riv GS, I miss that car, but I honestly think a non-GS makes a better custom. Besides, you don't want to piss off all the resto purists you'll run into! Haha

God, I miss mine! I had a '65 GS that my old man was building when he passed away. I ended up with the car but, sadly, couldn't afford to finish it. I ended up selling it to a guy outside of Independence, MO for way less than it was worth. That's the only time I ever actually CRIED when a car left my driveway.

when they're lowered down like that, does it screw with the strut rods on the frontend? Do they drive bad while lowered?
