A steel Deuce for the price of fiberglass?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Dec 27, 2008.

  1. First ignore the "odd" flame job. It's soon to go. I JUST bought this!! Amazing body (look at the lines), with a 12 port Jimmy 302 6 (Injected, Magneto, roller cam, crazy set of headers .....fresh/never fired), Muncie 4 speed, OG frame, built in the 50's. Supposedly ran high 9's at 130MPH! The pics should speak most of the tale.

    OMG!!! Thats *****in

Whats the number of the head?

Inliners International has a 12 port registery, and any number you can find on the head may lead to it history.

now fire the ****er up, video it, and shove it on youtube for all us inliners to watch ;)

    Very nice!
I agree, the profile of that body is just about perfect!
The whole car is bad*** regardless of what color it is..
I'm not sure what i'm more interested in, the car, or what's between the rails.

    I believe two.
Wayne and Howards. There may be more but those are the two that get the most talk for the inlines.

  24. Paint it and, don't sell it.

  25. Love it! I know I have a pic of that car in a magazine but can't remember which one. I already looked where I thought it was but no dice. Awesome machine, tell us how you found it etc.

It should be cast on the top side of the head, in raised numbers.

As fas a brands are concerned, there's the Howard Aluminium, The Wayne cast iron and aluminium, and the Horning, the Fisher, and the Skinner.

Looking at the 12 port registery - it look as though only the Chev heads were numbered. Sorry about that.

go to www.inliners.org and click on history, then 12 port registery.

it may pay to get in contact with Pat Swanson, tell him Mark from Australia sent you ;)

I'm skeptical about the 50s origins with that front end and wheel setup. But more detailed shots of interior and ch***is would tell the tale, I think. It is a neat piece no matter what. Well, that 80s flame job has to go.

  30. It's cast iron/aluminum, and I thought he said it was a Wayne/Jessel. Is that possible?

Well, things have been modified since then. But the original "build" was in the 50's with an Olds
