The real deal from the early 60s. My uncle Norm Custer's Model A. I can only imagine this rod kicking **** in and around Lawton Iowa.

  9. Holy smokes... small world! Lawton, Iowa is my home town, only about 500 people there. The pic is somewhat before my time (I'm Lawton-Bronson cl*** of 77) but I have memories of the Custer family. If you're in touch with your uncle ask him if he remembers my kin Mort Zenor and Roger Horsley, who would've been in Lawton HS around '63-'65.

this "A" was built to represent circa 1962 ish. Headlamps not shown are 8" king bees mounted half way up on shell, not too far foreward. Have fun with your build......Haney

I agree, I can't believe how natural it looks with that deuce top and '29 bottom. I was having a conversation the other day about this car concerning the ridges made from conduit on the roof. Something like that could go wrong very quick but it looks awesome on this car.

Hey Nick where,s it gone ? I haven,t seen it down here for a while.
I thought about buying it last year and putting my Hemi in it. I,ve drooled over this thing for over 20 years.

  22. 60s style but completed about 2 years ago. Headlights are fender mount BLC, 32 grill w/ Pontiac arrowhead in place of the bulldog

I took the liberty of tidying up the photo of 63dan63's uncle norms car - it's still a bit messy around the windscreen but it's a mean looking coupe. Imagine hearing that rumbling up outside your house to collect your daughter.

  25. I've built mine to be late 50's/60's style. I will be changing the grille due to overheating problems, it's the only way I can hide an electric fan.
