Got my body back from paint on Friday. It looks good. I can hardly wait to start piecing it back together. Here are a few quick peeks. Hope the pics come out OK - I'm photo challenged.

I did the chop, filled the cowl and put in the patch panels, but the wheelwell replacement (coupe wheelwells for more tire clearance), finishing, prep and paint were done by Restoration Specialties in Marble Falls, Texas. Good guys.

Your 2 door looks great both body work and paint. 9 years ago my 3-w was wrecked by a 87 year old who shouldn't have been driving. The only color considered after straightening out the fenders and chopping the top was black. I've never regretted the color choice. Keep the HAMB up to date with your finish. The FOGGER

Beautiful. This is my favorite stage of car building, the final assembly. It's like taking a vacation after everything that came before it.

i own a body shop, and people ask me what color i would paint one of my favorite hot rods.....and i say no color!the absents of pigment is the perfect coating for the ultimate car.nothing is more proper than a beatufilul, straight black finish...and this one looks great!

Nice job, look at those perfect reflections. That is not faked patina, that's some real paint.

Looks really, really good. But, if that's your driveway, you better get used to washing that sucker!

Yeah, that's my driveway - about 600' of crushed granite. I've questioned my own sanity several times but It just needed to be black!

For years I've said "Nothing is prettier than black when it's clean - but it's never clean.", and I've vowed never to own a black car for that reason, but a man's got to do what a man's got to do.
