A wild four engine streamliner (think Mickey Thompson). Then I'd go out on the salt, pretend I was going for my "D" license, and let it all hang out!!!

I'd build a Dukes of Hazzard clone Charger... OE-look aluminum 440 heads, 6-pack, 4-speed, full cage, and I'd race it in the Targa Newfoundland, because every man who watched that show when they were a boy has ever since fantasized about nailing Daisy Duke and power sliding an orange '69 Charger through corners with Dixie blaring. If money was no object, I could bat .500 on those childhood fantasies, and that ain't bad.

Lately I've been fantasizing about a 1964 Comet. Ok, quit laughing, I'm serious. I would put a straight axle up front, but it would sit just a touch higher than stock, kinda like the Two Lane Blacktop '55. I wouldn't alter the wheelbase, though, in fact it'd kinda be like Jack Chrisman's "Sachs & Sons" Comet, right down to the white color. I swap in one of those new all-aluminum 427 FE motors that Shelby sells these days. The motor would be set back about a foot and of course, it would have a 6-71 blower and an old-style Enderle bird catcher on top. No carbs here. It would also run on methanol, if for no other reason than gasoline doesn't mix with nitro. The interior would be bare-bones, '60's gasser. Two seats, a basic 'cage, stock steering wheel and a '60's Mustang floor shift connected to a manual valve body C6. No aluminum work either, just bare Mercury floorpans painted semi-gloss black. The wheels would tuck inside the quarters (just like Chrisman's) and the wheels would be magnesium Amercans, 15x4 fronts, 16x10 rears. One more thing, it's HAVE to be street driveable. No, not for very long, I'm not drivin' this thing on the Power Tour, but I would want to be able to make a burger run and/or the occasional stop-light nationals. But it would have to be a self-starter and have lights. It'd have Chrisman-style weedburner headers as well. No mufflers whatsoever. If those jackholes with 55hp Harleys can run open exhaust, so can I. I'll pay the noise tickets. Just writing about this thing has me fired up. Anyone gotta Comet takin' up space?

Finish the one I got now. Then put into motion, and start buying parts for the cars in my head. But most of all build them myself, not farm them out...ghost

I'd buy an Asian midget hooker with 1 T Rex arm and the other arm would be regular. Then I'd have her drive a Blown Big Block Metropolitan. We'd cruise the town smoking rocks and beating up hookers. :D
Too many genres of cars , trucks and motorcycles to pinpoint just one. A 55 Chevy would def. be on the list.

Hot rod - probably either Joe Nitti's or the Stone Wood's Willys.

Money no object though, I'll take the CS3131 289 competition cobra, but any of the original 3 Shelby USRRC team Cobra's will do ;)

If I had that 26 million that is shown in your pic. I WOULD BUY EVERY CAR FOR SALE IN THE HAMB CLASSIFIEDS FOR THE ASKING PRICE, then I would hire every shop on here to finish 2 each. I WOULD THEN BUY THE BIGGEST SEMI TO PUT THEM ON AND DRIVE AROUND THE COUNTRY AND STOP BY EVERYONES HOUSE TO LET ALL OF YOU GUYS TEST DRIVE A FEW FOR FUN.!!!

WHY JUST HAVE 1??? I get bored easy.

  30. I've had my 2 want to build cars for over 30 years. Yet to have the money.
    #1 65 Comet HT like Hayden Profitt's
    #2 60 Vette Gasser

My 65 Caliente has been sitting since 1972 in my Barn in Michigan
    (picture below)
My 60 Vette I bought as a basket case in 1976 but is here in Oregon buried in my workshop.

Someday I'll quit remodeling houses & building custom furniture.
