OK, here's installment #3. Another day at Seret Speed and Custom in Vallejo, CA. We actually got a little farther than I took pictures of. I'll take more tomorrow. My two weeks of vacation is going by fast, but it's really starting to come together.

So far I think we have about 3 nights and 3 or 4 days into it.

Matt wasn't happy with the fit of the Nash sheetmetal on the cowl, so he chucked it and replaced it.

I'm using a '32 driveshaft. It will taper on both ends and run down the center of the body.

That thing is fucking awesome! I thought it was a joke when you were pulling the engine towards the car but it fits great and looks the part of a 30's A/U type car.

Big plans for the interior? That's going to be one of those places that really ties this thing together and completes the overall look.

  21. KIRK!,

The build looks like it's going great- three days to get it done will be easy, just prioritize- only work on the necessities to get the car up and running.

Oh, brake lines take MUCH too long to run and bleed, so don't worry about 'em- they're overrated anyway:D!

I have an early European sportscar bucket seat that looks kind of like a bomber seat (to get simple black leather). Wood floor (dark reddish-brown stain). Aluminum trans tunnel (maybe covered with black leather). The rolled upper edges of the body will get about 6" of metal below them, then there will be a leather door panel (probably with a buckled leather pocket). Dash will have the large SW gauge shown in the last update and early airplane style rotary lever switches.
