OK..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/tyne/7807210.stm yeah its not exactlly period USA Hot Rod , but surely a Hot Rod Beaulieu
What a beauty,,, These cars were built when there was an eye for style,,,if only I could afford something that rare,, HRP
Wish someone would've told me those things were so valuable. I just took three of those to the crusher last week. Got $275 for the three of them. Pretty cool find for sure. Reminds me of the guy that bought an original copy of the Declaration of Independance at a junk store for a couple dollars and found out it was worth a couple hundred thousand.
We dont have barns in England... We have concrete and rain & we eat gravel for breakfast.. if were lucky!
I have just checked my barn (reads garage) and all I could find was a bag of hard cement and lots of VW parts. Oh well
The sad thing is none of his heirs are gearheads all the see is $$$$$, all of the cars will probably be sold off and the money spent on new Lexus, or Range Rover..
That's OK with me, at least the car won't be chrusher food someone can have it thet will enjoy it. I'm not into fine art (except maybe Weesner) So if a Renior or Picasso landed in my posession you bet it would be sold for cars and bikes. Life is for living, Live it.
hey 32sedan HA HA HA soooooo true about nancy p; I think Teddy k should take her for a short trip in his old belvidere across the chappiquiddic bridge
I sincerely hope that is sitting across the isle from Jay Leno's 1927 Duesenberg Model X sedan within the next few months. I've had the pleasues of working on several of these cars and they are true rolling art.
How could this possibly be split evenly between even family members? The family member that got the car would have to buy out the others to make it fair. I couldnt afford to do that. I'd still have a REAL hard time seeing it go.
Here's one of similar vintage that belongs to a friend and his dad. This is one of about fifty cars they own, and drive on occasion.
Leno has a Buggati Atlantic , the style with the rivets , He had it at a show out a Woodley Park in November..... Beaulieu
Sort of, that is built from real Bugatti parts but is not a REAL Type 57SC, my advice to him would be to sell it and buy the one in this post. FAR better vehicle to have in his garage.
Very nice car that is a standard Type 57 chassis, the one that started this post is on the lowered Type 57 S chassis, the V'd grill is the outward differance. These cars are so neat to look at, and I enjoyed doing the bodywork on them.
Looks like it is going to be sold off with some other survivors? Cool find.I hope they just give it a good detailing and get it on the road.
Concrete...??? When I was a child... we didn't have concrete... we had a hole in the ground and when it rained we all drowned... and we liked it...!!!!
Im sure Jay Leno is already aware of this "barn find" and probably already making a spot for it in his "Barn"...
