:DI thought I should post some progress pictures of my ''A''.As you can see the body and chassis are reunited,I've done the trunk/boot floor and mounted the fuel tank.I finally bought a Decklid, but as ever it needs some work.My expensive speedway Lo-boy radiator is temporaryily in place. The grille shell sits nicely not too near the ground, shouldn't catch on anything!:DI had to brace the rear of the body quite a bit as you can see, it was a tad outta shape.
I've cut all the rot outta the body and replaced it with pieces I made meself, to tight to buy repair panels!:D I threw a coat of red oxide on the body as I had planned on puting the body outside, while I worked on the chassis.I decided not to as I hadn't seen the thing on it's wheels for sometime. The fuel cap I got from work, Mercurial gave me some money for Christmas(Better than Bloody socks!)I also changed the rear spring for one off mercurial's '46 merc,I also moved the rear spring perch down a bit.The back has gone up about 2'' and I think it looks better for it too.I still will have to remove some leaves I think.Placed on my nice FREE Corvette rockercovers THANKS Tom!Thats about it for this episode, still PLENTY more to do.I can't wait to start on the bodywork in ernest, no more bloody dents.More hammer and dolly work, plus about a TON of filler should see it right:D.Next on the agenda is a top wood kit and hopefully some door hinges. Then the 3'' CHOP!!!!

    Thanks for lookin'
    Nick.

I was a bit worried about posting these pictures, didn't think my work was up to some of the HIGH standards set on the H.A.M.B. So THANKS so far!

Looking good, Nick! I especially like the three pedals - looks like you are using a 5-speed?

Keep it up - I bet you can't wait to drive it!

hey Nick....the coupe's looking great dude, really nice proportions. i cant wait to see it in person.
this site is an amazing place, particularly i think for us Brits who haven't been fortunate enough to grow up around around this kinda stuff.
it would be impossible for me for build my car without this site. great inspiration and information here!

    Looking good, almost there.
Is that the one that is 4" lower? Did you go with the brass/copper or aluminium? How well did the shell fit over it?
I was thinking about getting one to solve my overheating problem.
