I feel a little left out not having a name for my coupe. Everyone else seems to come up with clever name for theirs.....I'm not sure if "SIX MANIAC" is suitable but it can be changed. Anyway I've been doing a little burning and grinding on the firewall /toeboard / front floor of the model a. I flipped the firewall for more clearance for the six. By doing this it took a lot of floorspace so I shaped it so I got the recess and kept some legroom. I'm also making the toe/floorboards removeable so it will be easier to access and drop the body on... I've also been busy with my machines making a few things. I'm going to use an old Delco finned coil (I'll put a modern 12v coil in the housing) so I made up a mount for that. I made an adapter for the 235 valve cover and I made stainless hardlines for the fuel injection... So, thats kinda where I'm at as of today. .....Should I keep the name?
I don't think I have ever seen a firewall done in quite that fashion. Diffrent but very cool , just like the rest of the car. Nice work, -Abone.
It's a 250 The fuel injection is homemade, side cover is one piece homemade , gonna have 307 forged pop up pistons , comp 230 degree cam, lump ported head ,homemade headers with megaphones with blockoffs , mallory marine distributor , T-5 trans , working with GMC Bubba on a fuel injection control ....I'm waiting for some money so I can take it into the machine shop.....maybe hear it roar this summer?
that motor looks awesome. i think it will live up to its name. what kinda power are you expecting from that set up? That t5 will be nice to get out and cruise.
Realistically , probably 250 - 275 hp....300 would be tops, but in a light car with 3.89 gears and the t5 it should still go like a gutshot cat!

Please get it running by summer! I'd love to hear more about the setup when you get it running. In the back of my little head i've been thinking the same thing about injection on a 6... so i'm really courious about it. Keep us posted
Extremely nice metal work!!! The first name that jumped into my mind as I read this was "Six Shooter", but I think someone may have already used that name on a dragster back in the day. Seems I remember seeing that name somewhere. Either way, nice ride and cool choice of power. Keep posting those pictures.

Jethro I love the 6 its killer! The number of handmade parts are very creative. The fuel injection and headers are good lookin pieces! Hope to see it this summer, grab granny and ellie may and git cruisin!
