" people sure are testy these days, aren't they...??? " Geez Roger, I was thinking the same thing! There have been a few posts where guys launched into an instant "defense mode". Take a pill guys! Or swill another PBR or something. Everything's not for everyone.
That is a radically customized sedanette, whether Caddy, Olds, or Buick, I can't say. I can say it is pretty neat with the notable exception of bad judgement in the headlamp area. A set of 53 Buicks or 58 Lincolns would have been more attractive and approproate, but its his car, so be it. I don't think I'd throw it out of bed for eating crackers.
the car does have nice lines,,,,the headlights dont work, and neither do the silly tribal flames/excessive striping....(my opinion obviously).....gotta say derosa does build some pretty wild stuff,,,,not for everone,,but he DOES push the envelope....his stuff is definitely not cookie cutter...
You've never seen that car? Wow you guys really are newbies! It's even been in an OutKast video! Word!
I'll go along with that. The car doesn't do anything special for me... Infact, I dont like a lot of it, but I got eyes, and can see the m***ive ammount of work that went into creating it. If nothing else, you gotta give props to someone who would push the envelope that far while using their own $$$ to do it.
Now then lookit that...isn't that the same thing I said earlier...maybe I didn't need correcting...hmmmmmmmm.... Oh, and don't start jumping on One-shot til I go fill up my popcorn popper... R-
Whoa...wait, what did I say wrong? Man, sarcasm is killed on the internet... Yeah I re-established your point, but I added a video so maybe they would recognize it in a "Youngster" setting...a hip hop video.
Man ! .....There's a lotta work gone into that car.....I think a dark shiny paint job would give it more respect.....IMHO, It could be a cl***y car after a few minor changes......I guess I just dig customs, and like looking at everything out there..... Who's OutKast ?.........
If the person that did it is good at what they do then i would say not all that much. And judging by the way this thing is done... I would say he's good at what he does, haha
Was that video really nessecary? Maybe some of you guys are just really really old. I'm just pokin' fun at y'all.
James, you need to explain to me HOW I can listen to my tone...every time I put my ear up to the monitor, all I hear is a faint buzzing... R-
YEA,,,What he said ! could not agree more. These cars, no matter what stage of construction they are in, are things of beauty, I would like time to focus my eyes on details.
Somebody is right...those headlights make about as great a statement as the nitwits that stick modern cat's eye lamps in a fatfender. The bodywork on that sedanette is amazing, if he'd just molded in a set of 61 Chrysler or 58/59 Lincoln headlights in those pods, it would be a together car - although I think he cheaped out on the tunneled Buick taillights in the midst of some very impressive rear bodywork. I also agree that the red pinstriping just looked absolutely out of place (actually, that much webbing, etc looks out of place everywhere except on your practice board or refrigerator door). The tribal flames are all wrong too. Car needs to have a great, unique color (something dark) and then some tasteful conservative stripes to accentuate the beltline and a few other places (something simple at the headlight area and at the rear). I'm not a real custom fan, but that car really works. "there's one little thing that I think ought to be understood...it's not how you look, it's what you got under the hood" thank you Waylon dj
i like the headlightS, mostly cuz i'd like to have a pair for my 64 pontiac, but they are a little closer to that era...
Looks ugly to me. But then again, I'm not really into customs. Although I can appreciate the work someone puts into a car.
i regret to inform you of this random act , hope this doesnt breakout into a fistfight but the faint buzzing could be your mullett calling!
Hey when you're at work for 10 hours and then in the garage the rest of the time. The only chance you get to read car rags is when you take a ****. Oh and im one of those youngsters. but im not a "hot rodder" im not a snood som ***** that that likes to sit back and say "i know everything because ive been in this game for ever and all you new guys **** off" God damn people like you make it hard to get into this hobby/lifestyle.
Thanks for the pics people... The reason I posted it, was to share something I felt inspired by... If in the future I see a similar car in a s**** yard, I`ll know what can be done with it... I don't like all the details.. Id get rid of the headlights, the roof and the tail.. what I do like about it is the low profile.. It just looks aggressive..
Hey StudeDude, Ya nailed it, but Frank has been building kustoms for decades and I'm guessin' he doesn't build anything to please anyone but himself! In my book ,that's the only way to build anything. Say what you need too about Frank's builds, but they all say Frank, not "Me Too"! S****ey Devils C.C. "Meanwhile, back aboard TheTainted Pork"
Is it a giant sea turtle? How can you get a sea turtle and roach confused? All joking aside If I had that car I'd be bagging all the rockasilly chicks at VLV...... im not joking.
Look! All that guppie needs is a decent paint job and mabye a headlight fix. How about a colour fad to a white top centreline ala Winfield. Mabye some vertical quads to mirror the taillights. Just my two cents.
