Thanks for all the technical advices, wow, that is a great work. I think, I will go for it. A friend of mine in the States is about to change a COE (same like Yours, a Chevy) for my old Opel Kapitän, that I have.

Hamburg next year sounds good, maybe we can have a beer or two.

Does Yor friend have any pics of his COE?

296Moon, that suspension set up gives new meaning to the expression "air over hydraulic!" or is yours "hydraulic over air?"

Here's mine. Beemer and I dragged it out of a field this past summer. I cleaned out the box today as it was full of loose straw and a few bales. Buried in the hay was the grill.

Biil, your site is incredible and you have come a hell of a long way on your COE project. I just went through all 246 pages of your pics on it and I am really impressed. The use of the rack and pinion for steering was really great! Keep it going and maybe someday I'll have pics of mine to add to your website. Here is the link to what I've collected so far for my COE project.

Here's a few of my 'newer' COE, it's a 57 that started a long string of 40+ years of Ford C-Series. It has 4V-390 with 2-spd axle and the original 'widow-maker' wheels.

This is the COE that planted the bug in my brain about 6 years ago. I saw it at the Roadsters Swap Meet in Minneapolis and have been searching for some pics of it since then. Thanks to Dale (thewildturkey46), who gave the original owners and builders name and contact information and Derrick (38 Ford Guy - who also owns a '38 COE), who sent me this picture. Now I can actually see what I have been dreaming about the last 6 years. This is pretty close to what I would like to build.

    Here is mine.

Just found this picture of my first COE and my old panel( which I just bought back). This view you can really see the 2 inch chopped windshield on the Cabover.
