I'll start it off, I am smoothing the firewall and prepping the car for a new heart, a 305, sag 4 speed and s10 rear end. The 235 just wouldn't get it fast enough. I couldn't resist spraying a first coat on the valve covers and air cleaner, and a little in the bay. Even though I have more holes to fill and steering issues to deal with and .....

The color is a Black cherry pearl single stage. I am using the Nason paint, I hope it darkens up with more coats.

Went to Jay Leno's garage on Friday. It was very cool- a diverse colection. Got alot of ideas for future projects. Cleaned a bunch of parts that have been waiting to get put on my 77 Blazer. Worked on the kids PW50 and cleaned the yard. Gotta keep momma happy, next weekend is Pomona and the weekend after is the GNRS.

Finished up my chop, put a large patch panel in the rear quarter, and got the rear axle ready for new mounts and bags.

  5. Had a very cool weekend, Sat morning I displayed my AA/Fuel slingshot in town. also brought out my '69 Schwinn Applekrate, the kids really liked it.
Then, came home and worked on a set of heads I am building for my '61 455 Station wagon project, then, worked a bit on the 577" stroker I am building for my AWB Tempest Funny car. Played with my dogs a bit, then started to torch out a floor section out of a Bonneville a guy bought from me.
Sunday, went to church and Sunday school all morning. Then came home and changed the oil, filter and put a set of plugs in my 455HO GTO. Then worked some more on the 577". A typical weekend for me. The Lord and my cars are my passion...in that order. There is plenty of time for both.

I usually prefer to work on 4-6 projects at once, a little at a time, than finish one and go to the next. I just like it that way. It doesn't matter when it gets done. I just like working on my Hot Rods.

I put more metal on my soon to be shared secret. Now just to combat the scrub line issue...

  7. Went to a small local car show. Sat on my fat ass, drank beer, and smoked a couple packs of cigs. Now I'm going to try to finish my weekend by making some moves on the old lady..........................she'll probably say no!

good times....got a little road trip in with some of my buddies. put about 200 miles on the Styleline with no major hiccups. helped a buddy find a 49 f1 project and another buddy a 54 Merc. nothing wrong with addin more cars to the club.

what i shoulda done was cleaned out the garage to make room for the car but theres always next weekend.....unless the sun is out again.

Worked on the 700r4 tranny. Wouldn't shift. Dropped the pan & wire fell of solonoid. Re-did wiring connectors in trans.

Then I polished & waxed the car. Less than 2 weeks until GNRS. I'll have the Gimbel belt drive on Wednesday.

Putting the top back on my sedan after a 4" haircut.
Got the drivers side A-B-C Pillars welded and ground down where they are looking pretty good.
Quit yesterday afternoon and cleaned up the shop it was looking like a tornado came through and after awhile I just have to put things back where they belong.
Might be able to start on the passenger sode pillars after work today.

Great looking firewall Skriv! I need to do the same for my project, yet much bigger. What gauge or thickness did you use? How did you get the ribs embossed into it? Looks like the procedure would make a good tech article!
