Hot Rods '26 '27 Model T Roadster picture thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Paul, Dec 30, 2008.

  1. Heres a couple of my underslung 26T project, long & low, 130" wheelbase & 5-6" ground clearance. Not a lot of room inside, probably about the same as a channelled T as i have run a full 3" exhaust with mufflers under the floor, will have tailpipes out to the back.

Post some pics of your build progress. I wish that I had some pics of the junk that I started with. I didn't get a digital camera until fairly recently. pigpen

Not a real roadster, but a coupe that lost it's top in the 50's. Unfortunately I had to sell it before I could finish it...

Heres mine, built by me from a whole heap of parts that I collected.
Was my dailly driver for 6 years, covering over 70,000 miles in that time. Its now taking a bit of a rest as I'm driving my stepside as a dailly at the moment.
It used to run a french flattie and a 39 3 speed with torque tube etc, but it now runs a German flattie and I have made an adaptor to take a zf 5 speed with overdrive manual box and open drive to the banjo rear.

Here's a couple off updated pics, taken in september 2008 at the Hot Heads East head banging weekend in Finsterwalde Germany.
Some of them were also taken in Poland, me and my mate decided thaqt we had driven over a 1000 miles so it would be rude not to go the extra 70 odd miles and visit another country.

I have posted my roadster way to often on the place so I will save you the time and post it when I replace my Radir wheels with some different ones. If anybody has not seen it they can look in my profile for some pics.

Here's my '27 Track T roadster I've been working on. Working on the wiring for it right now so it partially dis-assembled. Can't wait for it to be done!

Here's one you might enjoy. This was the raw material that was turned into all those rods. It was my daily driver in college at Mizzou. It had a trick after market grill, real 21 inch wires and white walls no less. Not a bad looking car to start with, although the hand crank and kerosene side lamp were going out of style and kind of dated it.

It's just a napkin sketch right now, but the parts are stacking up.
I've got the body, chassis and a 2.3 turbo drive line from a Turbo Coupe Bird.
Now I need to figure out how to get a Watson Roadster nose.
some Halibrands with the "new" old Coker indy tires would finish it off!

Guess I was busy shoveling snow when this thread got started. Mine's been posted before, but not in this 26-27 specific thread. I never get tired of seeing the different looks of these 26 -27 roadsters. This ones on 32 frame with Ford flathead six banger power.

    Plan9 ,

Can you or anyone else tell me more about this little roadster in this pic? That is one of the 2 best T roadsters I have ever seen. I'd love to do a clone of it. Thanks.

Here's my little buggy. It's finally street legal, and it flat out looks cute, not mean! I sure learned to love these beautiful cars. Yes, it is just a rattlle trap, but I like it.
