Wayne Calvert out of Denton, Texas, mid '50s
The car Wayne made his reputation with as a racer and an engine builder was this '29 Model A Ford roadster seen here at the very first NHRA US Nationals in Great Bend, Kansas. He made it to the final four in A Roadster before being out run by eventual winner Leland Kolb in a '32 roadster with a Chrysler Hemi.

Yes I did a guy that I work with beleives he owns that car.He has owned the car since 1977 and he bought it from a guy in westlake oh.The car is white now but it was green and there are marks in the floor where a roll bar was.
