Thanks Chris! Wonderful thread. Been searching all over HAMB for a long time to find one here and one there. Nothing more hot rod basic than a real A-V8, not just a body swap... My old -29 roadster and my new coming WWII roadster project
Thanks! The -29 is sold since more than 10 years now, but I'm looking forward to start on the new -28 project.
My old 28.........This was in the 90's when I was on the cutting edge of flat black and red wheels.....
This thread kicks arse!! Thanks Chris! Howsa bout a couple of phaetons.... does anyone know who owns the above car? any more pics of it? a few, anyone have any more of phaetons or roadsters? -Shiny
There where a cool banger powered 29 roadster for sale on eBay some months ago. Tall skinny High Boy with some faded patinated green paint on it. I thought I saved the pics, but can't find them yet. Have another disc to search aswell. Can't remember for sure if it was a HAMB car, but i think so. Would suite this post perfectly. P
What a great picture! his mom is just shaking her head, I can almost hear the all crap she must have been giving him! haha
Looks like his Grandma to me. The youngster in the roadster can't be more than 20 tops, and the lady looks way past 60. Here's Bob Morton taking his mom for a ride.
this is going to be the best HAMB thread ever, as long as we can keep cars like that last one out of it, no offense but that isnt even a highboy . . . heres my contribution, all taken from the different posts here the AMOCAT car rules!
This is the car I was talking about above. Can't find the other pics though. Paul A few others randomly picked from my disc.
Thanks everyone for the contributions so far. It really got my juices flowing, mouth watering I will be getting my 29 roadster body in the next 2-3 weeks...so this thread is all I have for the time being Lets keep it up!!! Heres my new pile, it will proudly sit on top of an A frame!
AV8-RIDER, That pale green car is Hamber "GZ"s roadster. It, along with Zach Suhr, Amocat, and numerous other pre-war roadsters are my main insporation. Mine will be banger powered for now, just kinnda get it running/driving until I can pay a little more attention to it. Then I will swap in a 32 K mebember, V8, undropped heavy axle, and mayyyybe hydrallic brakes. I have all of this stuff hoarded, just gotta get my 33 done before another major project
Chris, I thought that you were goin' to build a '30 on Deuce rails!LOL Your '28/'29 looks a little bit more complete, than your '30 Roadster. Are you goin' for a more Pre-War look now? I'm sure whatever you build it'll be Spot-on.I can't wait for the build-up Thread. One last thing, I think you NEED a Hallock windsheild, GO ON you know it makes SENSE!!!!! Just been lookin' on Ebay at ''A'' Roadsters, must STOP doin' that got to finish my Coupe first.I blame you lot for posting such Great roadsters on here!!!!! Nick.
HAHA Nick. No Hallock for me, I want a cut down, laid back flat windshield. BUT, if you wanna donate the 1800.00 or whatever they cost, I would probably consider it Yes, I was doing a 30/31 on 32 rails...but then found this roadster, so sold the 30/31 basket case and sold the frame. I really really wanted a 28/29 to begin with, the 30/31 just kinnda fell into my lap. Funny thing was, the guy who wanted the 32 frame did not want the K member, so I made a deal with him to keep that to install into my model A frame!!!
Nice body Chris. Will be fun to follow your build. Seen your coupe I have great expectations. I'm also very fond the pale green car. even though it's very much stock, it has something to it. I guess it's a combination of details. Tire combo, body color etc. Here's another down the same alley Look up Hop Up Annual from a while back. Paul
Chris, if I had the 1800 Dollars to give you, it'd be yours! I thought that you REALLY wanted '28/'29 in your Heart of Hearts! As for cut down 'n' laid back windshields,All I'll say is MMMMM NICE! Nick.
