So I have been car-less for over a year an unemployed for 3 months, Thank God I am Blessed and my wife is Rad "and has a job". This project would not of even happened except a good buddy made me a deal on a motor and transmission I couldnt refuse..So I drove to Hamber OddrodGarage's Compound in Ramona Ca... I thought I was in a different state! called good ol AAA and brought this little GEM home today.

    61 Econoline Three Window Pick-up

Plans: SBF, C4, Astros or Radirs Pinner white and maybe some bellflowers tips.. later down the road lace and candy paint and some nice interior.. I made a promise I wouldnt do anything that would cost me a lot of money till I get a job!!

That's a nice truck! And it looks like someone has already gone trough the trouble of installing a 65-67 crossmember, so dropping in a SBF should be a breeze! You might need to widen and lengthen the dogbox though.

  11. John did the tow truck drivers eyes pop out of his head when he saw the bright lights of the big city? Pretty sure that was his first trip out of our valley...see ya in a couple of weeks and I wanna be riding shotgun when you do the first wheelstand...

I'm no guru... I just did a lot of research before I bought mine and started my v8 conversion. Feel free to ask questions though! If it already had a v8 in it, then all the hard work is done. You just need another v8!!

Nice ford..and tough as nails. In high school my ride was a 64 chevy van, the guys in school said it looked like an aquarium...from the flat windsheild I guess. early 60's vans/trucks held up really well.
    I would de-bondo it/fix & block sand-it really straight...those lines are important. very cool !
