i heard it is owned by John Kauw www.cruisincustoms.com Not sure the history of it. It is a one piece fibergl*** funny car body. Here are more pictures.
I think the guy that owns the 32 coupe (Joe's auto parts) owns it. super cool though. His sons a Hamber maybe he will speak up and tell the story about it.
Well good or bad, when I lived in West Michigan I always went to the Autorama. With all the snow and cold, I needed something to help cure the cabin fever. Quality of the show, that's up to you all to judge, but for me, it was a welcomed taste of summer in the middle of horrible Michigan weather.
Nick Hardy the interior guy? No way, I used to work for that guy. Havent seen him in years if its the same guy. Also disappointed in the show, besides jakes bel air, the fleetline and a couple of the front display cars.
Yeah it's my dad's, Nick Hardie. He's been working on it for a couple of years now, but recently has really been putting in the time. The Rumors are correct, it's an original car that he is bringing back to period correct in all realms. It's an amazing project that we hope to rumble down the streets at the Hunnert Car Pileup some year soon. Imagine some Nitro pumped thru that thing... Great shots from the show and thanks for the support. We will keep everyone posted on it's progress! Best, -Tyler P.S. Here it is running back in the day.
