Holy $hit! That's awesome, exactly what I was after! Do you think you could do one without the sign on the door though, and maybe leave the epoxy coloured bonnet that was on it originally? Or maybe make the bonnet a similar colour to the rust patches all over the car?

If you could do that, that would rock my world!

I've been messing with the photo that Artwelder did for me. I tidied up the bonnet area a little bit by grafting the bonnet off the original image back on, and I added a faded Moon Speed Equipment logo on the door, which I think looks pretty cool.

Dice, the logo idea really works and it will be pretty easy to do as well.

I can't believe I missed this thread! If someone would be willing, I'm love to see my '54 with everything shaved and lowered on some wide whites; As you can see, I made an attempt with Iphoto but...I suck.

Oh heck, why not, lets see if anyone of you can give me some cool ideas for my 56 DKW project. Turn this Germany ride into something worth driving.

here's an example of what I have been doing for the last several evenings. I have a shitload of crummy pics from the Bakersfield drags with people in the way, I hate people in my pics so I have been taking them out. here's a link to the thread:

other than this one all the ones in the thread are the finished product.

here's a before, during and after....

    Hello,

can some one give me a few ideas on my coupe? I'm thinking a brandywine/burgandt color, 3 inches lower, and i will be running my chrome louvers in the hood sides. Open to other colors and ideas!

    Thank you

I did this 51 Mercury for Pro Stock John.

    Car as John bought it...

I removed the flames and the dust, added window trim, and side trim. And added 52 Merc headlights, DeSoto grille and 51 Mercury bumpers.

    And a black version...

And for those who dont like Appletons

  27. Wow a "Drei gleich sechs" van.
A friend of mine just bought one of these. What are the odds?! Now he has to drive to Spain to collect it! You do know how rare this is, right?

I´d just lower it a lot on some nice steel wheels and some minor dechroming. I love how it looks like some 1950s robot! You could use a front wheel drive transverse motor to power it, if you don´t want to run the two stroke. It can´t weigh much, so even a smallish motor should push (er... pull) it along OK. Headlight glass is identical to an early Bug BTW.

Rikster, this might be some of the best Photoshopping work I have seen done in a while. Everything has been addressed and it really looks....well real!

NP. I didn't chop it much because you said 'a little off the top'. Hope that was enough.

Very nice work, bobj49f2 and Rikster. I like the before/after animation.

Rikster, how'd you get rid of the flames without losing the sunny and shady spots?
