Mine (avatar too). Old photo of my roadster is from AHRF site. I had to snag this shot since you cannot copy images from their site. I couldn't get anyone to help me with a legitimate copy, bummer. The photo came from the Trompers Car Club collection. The Trompers Car Club was an original SCTA club out of Eagle Rock, CA and a few fellas resurrected the club a few years back. I even contacted them but no luck yet.
Some great photo's there guys, keep 'em coming. Wish I could join in with my coupe, but rules are rules! At least I've snuck my avatar in.
Awesome thread..... A bone roadster, A frame or 32 frame, Hallock screen, 3 pedals, QC + blown Flathead = HOTROD At least, that whats in my head for the next project.... Kick as thread, keep the pix comin' guys !! Rat
Thanks for the suggestion but I only need a pair of scissors and a club hammer to remove the roof, it's a sport coupe. Just remembered I had this picture in my profile of my roadster from the early nineties. (Which excuses the poor quality scan.)
HA! I took the pictures of the guy drivin that 75 car at last years Hot-Rod-A-Rama And yes, there is a lot of great tin up over her!
SHITTTT Now I have some royalty issues to attend then hehe As you may have guessed I tend to save an image or two from time to time. Speaking of cool cars from the NW.....Even overe here in Norway we have noticed that to be a fact. Carl Winters too cool Deuce 5w. etc...but that's another story. I would have liked to attend the Hot Rod A rama. Looks like a cool show with lots of nice rides. Paul
Paul, very very cool event with some great vintage cars and awesome people. It's only a plane ticket ($$$$) away
I met him @ the Hotrod-A-Rama last year, said he finished putting it together at noon the day of! IIRC the '32 shell was held on with zip-straps haha, or maybe he was kidding...eaither way, cool roadster and a cool guy to talk too
It was a '30/1 chopped coupe the year before, swapped bodies just before the event, a another guy I know bought the coupe body, it was pretty nice...... The owner of the roadster is on here.
You guys have a great selection of early tradional rides. Im always impressed by what I see from that area.
Yep, that's the original A-V8 Boogie roadster. Here with a 32 grille and some ugly end pipes on the megaphones... Yes, I think it's still rollin in Germany.
I know, his Hamb name is "Stagger lee". His car is what gave my brother insperation on his coupe, he liked how is was pretty much stock engine wise...even had mechanical brakes. Here's my Bro's...
That's killer......but it would RULE with a SBC, metalflake and WWW slicks!!! Haha...j/k Chris....kinda
You know Paul, my whole family is Norwegian! If you ever get in my area, I always have a floor to sleep on
