  2. That's a 122 or Amazon Wagon. Cool ass little cars. I used to LUST after on of them in my younger days. Still wouldn't mind having one.

I don't know all the years these were made but they're 60's.

  3. I've always wanted to get my hands on one of those old Volvos that looked sort of like a scaled down '41-'48 Ford. They are cool looking cars, would love to see one rodded.

  4. Those are 544 models and are also very cool. I've seen one of two redone to look like a miniature '46 Ford. I dig them.

It's difficult to tell the difference in years , up until '68 when it got a dual circuit braking system & headrests & some other little stuff . If I had to venture a guess I'd say the one in the vid is a '65-'67 wagon . And a cool one at that !

Check out THIS AMAZON - even hotter than the wagon .

    And another HOT AMAZON ...

  11. HEY !! Can you provide any info on the 'Fleetwood Bodies' building in the background?

I owned a 66 122 wagon. Daily drove it in Washington DC for 3 years. Great car. Do a Google search for the "Vox Amazon" custom wagon. Some very nice fabrication work on that one.

weaverville, the pic was taken in Fleetwood Pa, it was a factory for the fleetwood cads, there was actually another larger building to the left of the pics which had 2 fires and after the last one a couple of yrs ago they tore it down

Volvo P120 series cars were built from 1956-1970. The wagon were not produced until 1962. I'd love a wagon or coupe.

If anyone's serious about owning a running 444 (?) with the split windshield and a 544 parts car to go with it drop me a PM. The 444 starts runs and drives as is, and is really quite solid.

I've watched your vid dozens of times . I love the long shifter - very similar to mine . Your hairy dash is a bit over the top for me , but it certainly gives the car bit more character .

In a couple of Indian Bollywood films they use old Volvos as cool USA hotrod type cars in their dance numbers.

If you haven't seen a Bollywood film, they're a hoot.
"Ghajini" is especially good--based on "Memento."

  22. I really like the Volvo "Amazon" stationwagon, it's pretty rare here in Sweden. Rust and hard beatings killed them off in way larger numbers than the sedan model. A friend of mine has a really nice one as a daily driver:

A couple of years ago he built chopped a 544 (here in Sweden also known as a PV).
