Well its actual 1 degree out right now in sunny Cleveland Ohio and with the wind chill its -10:eek: thats pretty damn cold!! Well with it being that cold and me having just got new parts in the mail i have decided NOT to work on the car. I think by time i heat up the garage it will be June and plus that metal will be so cold it actually might leave burns if i touch it without gloves.:(

So whats it like at your house for everyone that lives in the Great White North!

Same as you..once this cold spell hit us..I backed off heating the shop..felt like it was a waste of wood..and time..maybe when it gets back up to say mid 20' or lower 30's i will go back out and start up where i left off.

Ewww!..is that windchill or just the temp?

our windchills are at the -20, or will be tonight

  7. -35 degrees celcius when I walked to work this morning. I don,t live very far from work and usually drive the shop truck. I left it at work because the damn thing is too cold to shift and raise the plow at that temperature! Seat also feels like rock when it gets that cold.....

Not just tooooo cold but dangerous. My fingers were going numb as I was camming up a head so I packed up and realised as I went to put the lights off, that I had broken a finger and very nearly taken the end off of it. Now I wont be working on things for a month even if it warms up.

I froze my ass off in the garage for too long. I bought a 70000 BTU kero heater a couple years ago, great investment. I put fire it up and go back in the warm house. 20 minutes later, I can work in short sleeves

Well down here in the heat (LYDAO) Kansas, it is too damn cold, even with the wall heater on. Wind blows like hell and I take the attitude of waiting till March to do any work, but this weekend I will be trying to move my cars around so that I can get another car in the garage. Hope it warms up by then!

  27. Ha! it was 75° today!

...feel free to hit me up during monsoon season when it's 109° and 45% humidity
