Help settle a family dispute.

Hey guys,

I am a 24 year old guy that bought this car out of the paper from a local guy when I graduated high school (with all the money I was supposed to spend on college tuition). Along with my dad and brother, we built this car while I was in college and for the record...my daddy didn't spend a dime of his money on this car (heck that's why it took so long to get it to this point). Fittingly, my dad came up with license plate "NOTDADZ" and most guys get a kick out of it.

Pretty basic build (low dollar) but I did have things like the original gauges restored and the running boards re-vulcanized by a guy that uses the original machine that Ford used in his factories to do all his running boards (no glue on covers here and no Bob Drake repop's). The interior isn't done for two reasons...we don't know how and it costs so dang much.

The dispute is: I bought these original Ford fog lights from a good friend of mine because I like the look and he tossed in the grill guard too. I want to run the guard and fog lights but my brother says they ruin the car. My dad is on the fence and of course my wife and mom say "what ever you think".

We decided this was a HAMB post. What do you guys think? Fog lights and bar or NOT? Won't change my mind but just thought it would be fun to see what you guys thought.

I like the grill guard and the fog lights.

I think they're getting more popular. I have them on my '47 Sedan Delivery.

edit: My truck I am currently working on is going to all black just like that and with a leather seat very similar to that as well. I can't believe you stole my ideas. I like the satin on your car and usually not too keen on that myself. But, that does look sweet and very nicely done. I am going to go with super shiny paint though just to be a little different.

I like it with the guard and lights. Now you can over do it sometimes but with what you put on there your not. They're factory and look good. Not like you got them from JC Whitney.
