I saw it run at Onondaga Dragway in 1966 or 67 south of Lansing, MI. My first trip to a drag strip. Had a hard time getting a good pass but did have one. Later, I watched it wreck on ABCs Wild World of Sports. Took out a pylon on the right lane finish line somewhere. Might have been this accident?

No, that's the original "Black Arrow" with our livery. The car we rebuilt from most of the 'Arrows original super stock pieces is this car

The yellow Bantam in the upper corner was the former Pure Hell of Rich Guasco. At the time of the picture, owner Jim Pearce was running it as a blown gas altered. The 6 banger altered in the other lane was Arnold Chaves, a former Winternationals comp eliminator winner-67 I think

Here are a few from US 13 Dragway taken around 1972.

This little gem was powered by a turbocharged Corvair with a 2bbl Holley. It ran 11's at 120 MPH.

My childhood neighbor Red Easlers racecar.
Built in the summer of 1965,IIRC,hanging out at his garage while this was going on was nirvana for a ten year old gearhead like me.
Red was a tech director for NASCAR's old drag division and i was lucky enough,on occasion,to get to go to Pittsburgh International Dragway with Red and his son who i was friends with.
    Those were good times.

I always felt the NASCAR form of drag racing and in particular their Ultra Stock-Grand Stock division was the best. Any more from the NASCAR days? Thanks for posting.
