In time for the new year and the inauguration, Pepsi presents "Pass." Every generation refreshes the world. From Pepsi's birthplace in New Burn, North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century to the end of World War 2, and from the peace and love movement to the 2009 presidential inauguration, Pepsi "Pass" celebrates the spirit of optimism in the face of growth and change -- and takes you through the evolution of Pepsi since its inception more than 100 years ago

remember setzer was born in new york, the stray cats were formed in america but then moved to england
i guess i call paul hogan (mick dundee from crocadile dundee) a yankee becuase he left australia and moved to america but i wouldnt call him a american icon

anyway one thing that is for sure is that coke and pepsi take there advertising serious and its good to see some hot rods in it.

Kool ad.....The Who are touring downunder in March, can't wait..

  9. Yeah, I would kill to go to that!! The Who and the Rolling Stones are two bands that everyone must see live once!

FCCOOL, Im not sure what your getting at? None of the Who were American nor did they live there? The list of Ex Australian stars is getting long, Minogue (But good riddance!) Mel Gibson etc....

Yea, you got to wonder why we don't get ads like that.We get stupid for commercials. I wonder why, I guess we can't handle it. We only have commercials with sports people , and I think they still like to dance on cars here.:D

Like the commercial, but still prefer the real thing in more than just cars.

It's funny how many of 'Those Generations' I've been through. Can't believe I'm still alive. Very cool commercial.

They couldn't pic an American band to play as the soundtrack for the American Generations story line?!

I also think it's very special that Pepsi changed their logo to so closely match Obama's campaign logo.

now excuse me while I go have a breakfast rerun...

I saw the commercial a few days ago. The hot rod definetly caught my eye!

BTW, who cares where the bands come from? Does the locations of their birth somehow diminish their greatness?

P.S. Coke and Pepsi are the same thing! Wake up people!
