Event Coverage GNRS 60th Anniversary -- Jan 23-25, 2009 -- Who's Going?

Anyone driving out from the east? I have a friend looking to get a '40 Ford hood to northeast Ohio from Pomona.

I've been known to carry parts on planes before but I think someone may put a stop to it this time! I would check it but I can only imagine how beat up it would get

well i lied, the 34 won't be there, just plain ran out of time and i'm not going to hack it together just to make the show. a month worth of 12+ hour days only to not have it ready sucks but i'd rather finnish it right.

might have a hotel room avaliable friday and saturday night at the howard johnson a couple miles from the show if anyones interested send me a pm

 

I'm flying down Thursday. Will be taking a lot of pics. Anyone else from the Great White North heading down?

Ok gents I am doin it last minute so anyone got recommendations for lodging like to come down thurs night hang out friday and crash fri then show on sat then haul as back to sac sat night! any one got hotel ideas other than the shereton they gotta be packed!

 

I'm flying out Wed for a week, I'll be set up in the Suede Palace. I'll be striping cars before and after the show if anyone doesnt have anything against a one arm bandit striping there car, hahahaha. Come say hi at least! cheers

 

I can get it as far east as Phoenix, no problem... Maybe we can set up a relay from there?

Well ... I hate to burst everyones bubble... but y'all better bring your rain coats and galoshes! Looks like its comming in tomorrow night and not leaving untill tuesday. Move in Thursday is gonna be fun!

That is the BEST show and the quality of cars is second to none! Seriously....It was so nice. I drove my dad, brother and kids last January (Grapevine was closed due to severe weather so we took the looonnng way around on 101...Nightmare) and it was definitely a trip to remember!
My brother is going down with a couple friends and the old man has decided he just can't make the trip this year....so WE WILL BE EAGERLY AWAITING PICTURES OF 2009 GRAND NATIONAL SHOW!

 

Hey James, Check out the Shilo Inn and the Shilo Inn suites. These hotels are minutes away from the show.

 

That is where we are staying also...nice little hotel with a bar next door with a nice little bar tender....

couldn't find rooms at any of the places everyone recommended so I am stayin close by I hope gonna shoot down early early friday hit the Petersen and Bobs then see whats up with any open houses going on friday nightany one know of something going on ? saturday gonna do the doughnuts derelicts and anti doughnut then NHRA and the GNRS show then head home! but if anyone knows of somethin going down friday night lemme know!

 

HOLY CRAP!! its raining buckets here in nor cal!! I am startin to have second thoughts on rollin the Galaxie anyone else backin out of takin their nice ride? Dont get me wrong i am not worried about makein it I am worried about makein it without scrapein prius off my quarter panels.
