I had a long time Desoto collector buddy of mine send me pictures of the Divco that he found and purchased today down in Texas.

Thats right the guy found a super rare Divco Junior made by Robel in the 1950s for use by dairies in parades and other promotions.

    Nothing like a little overkill?
He could not get it in the truck with the topper on so he loaded it on his trailer and towed it home with a crew cab super duty diesel.

He will be sending more pictures tomorrow!

I know there are a lot of Divco fans on here so I thought I would share!

    Here is the original brochure.

    It used a 1 3/4hp Briggs 6BS motor

    Yeah I loved that shot!

I have only seen one more sell in the last year and it was a couple years before that when the last one changed hands. Have never seen two in the same place except for the brochure!

Thinking about maybe putting a Buick V-6 in the rear? Fun little truck for sure. Glad it survived............

I think this Franklin aircooled would be great for it.

    1939 White Motors White Horse.
The museum that I volunteer for (Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum in Cleveland, Oh) has an original engine for sale. It is a Frankliin Aircooled opposing. The valve covers have White embossed on them. Email me if interested.

Not to hijack but 10 or 15 years ago there was a real Divco in a field between Dublin and De Leon Texas. Haven't been through there since then. Used to go to Dublin to buy real Dr. Pepper.

    Engine is in the back.
    Driver sits toward the back
    fibergl*** body
    and the front jacked up?
You better have wheelie bars on it!

It might look pretty good with some monster meats in the back, wheelie bars and a mini parachute!

I got dibs on those wheels for my Belly Tank project. Now if I could only find some 8" tall Firestone Indy tires to throw on them.

My fibergl*** guy that builds my other Junior car bodies could make the molds easy enough and pump them out, but I do not know if i can afford to buy the original to do that? they are pretty darned rare and when they do sell they are not cheap.

there is one currently being modified with a high performance frame. here are a couple pictures.
