Here's a HAMB friendly look at the 2009 Canberra Rod @ Kustom Kruise held in Canberra over the Australia Day weekend just gone.

Most of these are form the Sunday. Saturday was on the 'skid pan' at the driver training facility. I took a heap of stills but they don't do justice to the sideways action that was the order of the day.

Missed you Southerners this year. Sunday was in front of Old Parliment House. Succeeded in steering clear of the streetrodders most of the weekend.

Drewfus, 'slosh' would have been about 1/2 foot deep when we started, but track was pretty much dry within about 3 hours.

  24. There is a lot to love about this car. Its got a very cool old style heater other bits n pieces in it. It looks like it was built to be a 100% fun no fuss car. I chased it around town at the last nats at coldbum so I could get a really good look it - I think X38 & Flatattack throught I was going to dry hump it at one stage....

Last three for today. I think Matty and I were the only ones not to wash their cars after the skid pan before the show on Sunday. I over heard numerous people discussing them, saying how nice the were but "shame they got them dirty":D

I thought the red rod with one side cleaned and the other still caked in skid pan skuz looked good. It was great seeing the cars getting a workout.

It was strange seeing a car as big as the buick getting as sideways as it did!
