Event Coverage Pre Roundup Dinner, Cruise and Show.

Okay, Feb. 6 is before the Roundup. Right?

So here's the deal. The World Famous Contintental Club is having a big show on Friday the 6th. The HAMB's own Bob Bleed and Mr. Ford's band (Jade Idol?) is playing their first show. El Jefe also has the The_Jungle_Rockers and Barfield Playing on the same bill ! If you've ever seen the Jungle Rockers or Barfield, you know the night is gonna be filled with greasy, sweaty, groovin', soul and funk.

Before that show, the Yay-Hoos are going to semi-organize (that's as close as we ever get to organized) a cruise night at Dirty's . By organize, I mean post this message and be there ouselves! Dirty's is a real deal old school burger joint that's been there since the 20's. Get there 7:30-8 to have time to eat and hang out a while before the show.

After that we'll all cruise the drag down to S. Congress for the show. Bombing down Guadalupe and through Downtown with that big of a group should be a blast. El Jefe will have some cones out to save us some spots up front when we get there. You know how that can go on a Saturday night with this big of a lineup, but we'll get there early enough so we can at least be on Congress.

So, who's up for it?

That sounds like a good time, and those burgers are fantastic. I cant wait to get my car on the road, I really miss having something old to drive.

This is gonna be a busy week!
Saturday we have my little party here, The 4th is the Legendary Shack Shakers, then Friday This!

I may have to get my extra liver out of the deep freeze.

 

I'm pretty fired up.... couple of my friends here in MI talked me into making the 23 hour trek to the show with my 34', which I've always wanted to attend. From what I see and hear I won't be disappointed.

Badass, the wife and I are going to be in Austin that weekend to visit family anyway. Looks like we just may have to come in the Olds.

I made my hotel res today for April....We should be in by Thursday afternoon to catch some of the action.

 

I wouldn't miss it for the world. I can't wait to see "the Jade Idol". I heard they're gonna have pyrotechnics and all!!! Something about Mark Ford pouring lighter fluid on his leather pants and lighting himself on fire while performing.... ???

I heard Mark got a new drumset so I snuck into their rehearsal and took this pic......sorry mark, but it's a sweet ass drumset and you can play the hell out of them!!!! Stay Gold Ponyboy.
