Here in MO where I am at we got over 2 in of ice and sleet then snow on top of that. Knocked out our power for 1 day and the road crews are just now getting the upper hand. Trees and limbs down everwhere.

Yep, weather can be better but ZERO inspections or smog laws and wide open spaces!!!!!! I'll take a couple of weeks of lousy weather a year over the "issues" of living in CA.

Drove to okc and back today, followed the snowplows on the turnpike, 3 abreast with a Hipo rear escort, 20 mph from Bristow to Stroud!. Had to get out of town.
Squarebird! Where were you hiding that?

Im getting hit with ice right now. Have been all day. Ive got 4" of snow with a layer of ice thick enough for me to walk on. Went outside to find my windshield on my truck had cracked from the cold.

A bunch of Turkey Vultures have taken up residence in the pines next to my house. While walking the dog an hour or so ago i WATCHED one flat out fall out of the tree, smack the ice, then get up and walk away like nothing had happened. The dog looked at me like i was a moron for laughing so hard

WINTER SUCKS, We are north of you , we only had 1 inch of sleet, and 3 inches of snow, I agree it will take to long to warm up the shop. stuck here 2 days and im eady to go to work. Somebody has to have some relief. Suppose to be 50 Sat. Im so ready. At least it was not as bad as last year, 6 days no power, that sucked worse.

Sounds like you guys are getting the same crap we got two years ago. Didn't have power for a week & I think it was below freezing for over a week also. There were so many trees down it looked like a war zone around here.
