    Hello all,

I'm a newer member and was just so pumped about my new tires I wanted to share. They're BFG Silvertown's from Coker Tire, size 215/65/15 and they ride great. Really pleased with them.

I gave the wheels a little color blast with some pink since the car is going to be painted soon a seafoam green color. I'm excited to see some contrast.

The car is a 1953 Plymouth Suburban. Body is really straight, just surface rust and could use the bumpers to be rechromed. Car runs and drives great, even stops pretty well thanks to new brakes and wheel bearing's from Kanter.

    Hope you enjoy...

    Ha. Thanks guys....

Hotrod, I leave for Daytona next week...seems like I just got home from Homestead a few days ago. Too bad I couldn't have gotten involved in a sport with a shorter season, but as a car guy, my choices were limited :)

Wooo-Hooo! Looks great! I ran a similar setup on my Plymouth coupe for a while...right down to the pink wheels! That hint of pink will look killer with Seafoam Green body color. Post photos when it's painted! Good luck!

Great little wagon. It's hard not to like a early 50's Plymouth wagon and I have fond feelings for 53s as we had a 4 door sedan when I was a kid.
ps. Love Atlanta (except the traffic). I used to live in Dawsonville.

I'm a southsider like you, but I'm on the other side of Atlanta Motor Speedway :) We live right outside of Peachtree City.

The tires were mounted and balanced at Sharpsburg Tire, and the wheels were painted at my friend's muffle shop, Sharpsburg Muffler, which is right behind it.

Hopefully once it's painted, I'll figure out what I want to do exhaust wise, and we'll put something nice and subtle on there.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm really excited about the project. I'm still so surprised as to how much better the car drives on radials than bias plys. I can't believe anyone drives on those.

i hope I can find a driver's side mirror and mount since that's the only thing the car is missing.

  11. They look great. Not a fan of pink that's not very manly but the overall truck looks cool too. I will be getting a set of those WWW's for my Merc before summer.

Looks good. Hoping to get my WWW fitted this weekend on my Chevy.

  16. I'm likin' it. I was a little skeptical when you said pink wheels, but I agree that it will look even better after you shoot it seafoam. Roll on Rutledge. Lookin' good!...Don. How about dark green metalflake on the roof to compliment the seafoam lower body?

Hmmm... I don't know the answer to that. I'm heading to Charlotte tomorrow, so I'll ask that question for you. Or you can pm me, and I'll try to figure out exactly who to pass it on to. We have in-house production, out of house production, and oddly like a basement production :)

    Thanks for all the compliments...

I hadn't thought about the green metal flake roof, but that might really set it off. Hmmm.

I wonder if there are any good photo shoppers on here?

Looks good. Not sure about the pink, but if you say it's going to look good with the seafoam green... Can't wait to see pics when it's painted.

You guys are funny. My wife and our daughter and going to enjoy cruising in it for sure. I never thought the pink would get as many comments as it did. I gotta be honest, I'm not really concerned if someone think it's not manly or anything like that. It's just a color.

And if it looks bad when the car is painted, I'll just spray them a different color :) But I probably won't, because I think I'm really going to like it.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I am hopefully getting it painted in a few weeks, so I'll be sure to post some progress pics.

  25. looks great. i'm thinking a silver metal flake roof would be cool!! the pink rims are cool too!!

  26. Sea foam green body, metalflake silver top, pink wheels and wide whites...

Add a rolled white interior with pink piping...that would definitely be the wife's car! But cool as hell!
