Not sure Quinton, I'll have to see if there's some another photo I have saved with the info on it. That is your style though, for sure.
great photos and info if you all want why dont we include wheel and tire size and the amount of drop both front and rear and how much channel if it is. it's a great thread for someone looking for a certain look and stance!!!! thanks for all the posts so far! VERY VERY HELPFUL Rob
Here is the thread that shows my client's 31 model A chopped about 2.5 inches http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=330424
Craig, Im 6'2" and the 3 1/2 chop was right , you would'nt think so but, another 1/2 would of been too much...
I think Ryan's coupe proves a point. Chopping the crap out of a car (for the most part just to be a bad ass) ruins the end result if practical use is the goal. His car is just "right" on so many levels. Must have something to do with those Tardel folks knowing their way around a hot rod. Frank
Dang..i can't wait to cut my top on the sedan...plan is 4 and 4.5 in rear, keeping as much of the rear window as i can.
Not a H.A.M.B. Friendly car.....but here is my '30 fordor with 6" chop, 6" front "z" and 18" rear "z"..body channeled 3"
Ryan's coupe is all of Bad Ass but i have to say Mr. Casny I wouldn't be kickin that one out of my garage if it were in there. Both very nice machines
This is the one of finest examples of period perfect A's.........Like others have said though, still looks deeper than a 2.75 cut...
Here's my tudor with a 6" chop. Like Glen said in an earlier post, I wouldn't go that far again. I'm 6'1" and it's really hard to see traffic lights the closer you get to them. I have to sit in the rear passenger footwell to make it comfortable which meant I had to have a really long steering shaft and a removable wheel. If I ever get a coupe 4" would be my max.
we'll i finally decided on 4 1/2" chop NO channel here is a picture of it. thanks for all the posts it really helped me decide. i'll send some other pictures later. Rob
