Here's a picture of my 51 I built in 85, as with all of them, I wish I had it back, unlike today it was cheap to build, 302, auto with power disc brakes, it was a fun truck to build and drive. :)

  4. As promised...... My build in progress, I can see the end in site! Drove it down the road today. Tailgate & trailer hitch tomorrow. Glass & rear wide whites next week and TAA DAA. Off to the gas station.
Maybe some day I'll buy a sheet of plywood and put a bed in it so my cooler won't fall through.............

The black 56 is superb. Whitewalls and lancers never looked better. Love it. Joe

I am glad people like my truck. It has been done for years now it has 28,000 miles on it since built. Has 1957 312 y block with original fordamatic. Has mustang 2 front end just to help it drive better. Has bias ply tires and 56 lancer hubcaps. I try to build most of my cars to a period look and I just thought this is the look of a hot rodders pickup in 1956.I got this truck from a friends neighbor. This guy owned the truck since 1960.When he died his wife wanted it out of the garage and I was glad to get it from her. He did not like hot rods but I think I did it justice.Maybe I should start driving it again it is just setting in the back of the shop.
