There are alot of artist that post about this here but the just get killed.

Set up a paypal for legal contributions/donations and persue the issue.

I havent researched but there has to be some case law already established on the issues. Copy all those false claims, use print screens to create do***ents, and send them in an email to yourself and someone else.

yeah i work for a design shop in KC and we had a small run in with stuff like this. intellectual property laws are thicker than ever. Even if someone could prove how much money they lost and stand to lose is the amount that can be sued for. not local court either its the supreme court. most lawyers will play that gig for free just so they can say they did. that long winded disclaimer only protects cafepress not the one actually stealing. thats the high road.

the farmboy in me says to take him to court with my fist. i mean come on. i know how much work goes into that stuff. kinda like someone just walking up and driving off in my car. but theres gotta be something 65000 people can do to slam his *** shut. as much as i would like to deliver a major beat down to the ***wipe i think a big lawsuit hits'em harder and no one has to spend a night in county. as fun as that usually is.

You guys have it up to result #8 at the moment.

Just FYI, a second thread, or a thread on another board will create another result on the same page. Look at the Google result and you will see that it takes the heading of this thread and displays it in the result - "Beware of Bone Yard Chop Shop..."

I see his phone number has been listed here. I wonder if he's up at this hour?

Well all of you good folks out there. I am the owner of The Bone Yard Chop Shop. All of the images on the website were created by a group of 18 college students. the idea of the website was to hack up existing logos. Hints the name CHOP SHOP> all it took was one of you named jay to email me and show me that it was upsetting people. SO....... all the images are off. I am having them recreate fast food logos. unless that will upset you as well. then you probably will just sit and complain on your computers.

Guys and gals just so you know if you want affirmative action and change in something then speak to that person. just talking with your friend does nothing. and if jay didn't send me the link i would of never seen it. consider this. over 19.2 billion websites and 6.8 billion people in this world, think i am the only one who has done this? and if i knew it was upsetting anyone i would have pulled them off sooner. I own 17 different cafe press premium shops. I have no quams about pulling this one off.

I am sorry about the website and as i said all the images are gone now. But putting up my personal information is a little immature an stupid and if you are going to, well then, i welcome you my friend

    Thanks and Goodbye.

    Blah blah blah...

How about creating something original. I can see influenced by, but what you did was blatant ripped off other peoples work...

It's bad enough that you stole it in the first place ... but to call it your own? Call yourself and artist? You should be ashamed, dude. That's ****ing sad. And what goes around comes around.

It's kind of ironic that a**** the six images I can still access on the site, there is the fist with "real" across the knuckles and another that just says, "What is your art?".
    Damn.

TEACHING college students to rip off artwork ...that to me is what the whole problem is...why don't you teach them that STEALING (and modifying) is simply wrong...

  23. I'd like to be a fly on the wall during the job interviews when hacked fast food logos are presented in those 18 college students' porfolios...

The Bone Yard Chop Shop ...sounds like if he has a problem with personal info being on the internet he needs to talk to his webpage host...

stealing art is never good or right... creat your own... earn respect... don't steal it.

I have never been prouder to be a HAMB member. Thanks to all of you who got involved, there's one less creep stealing art. And thanks to the mods for leaving this thread up, even though it might have been a little O/T.

The power of HAMB is a mighty thing.

I rarely would chime in on something negative here, but I have to. This guy stole from good people here that share their creativity with us, yet he says he did not know it would upset anyone. If I stole from him, would he be upset?
He is going to shut down the site, but not stop what he is doing. He never apologized or acknowledged that he did anything wrong!

I am sorry, but regardless this creep needs to be beat down, har***ed, and ...

This is NO different than somone stealing your personal posessions, yet he will walk away to do it another day with someone else's intellectual property.

Just because he removed the pics, does not remove the issue.

Who is the HAMB'er that makes TIKI's with a chainsaw. Send him over and ask if he needs a demonstration of art at work....

We're here for ya, dude. :)

Congrats, this thread is #1 with a bullet on google.

Looks like the college student is getting a real world education he didn't expect.

FWIW, I think Cafe Press and cafepress.com should be mentioned here as well as Bone Yard Chop Shop for the same reason.

It isn't "yours" until you modify a certain percentage of it, if memory serves me right. They made us take cl***es on **** like this in college... I think it was like 60% - 75%...
