weeks, i worked at TCR for a couple of years. '02 & '03. stands for Team Caveman Racing

 

Nice yeah I used to buy my mooneyes and Mr.Hoorsepower shirts there back then. That was when Mike Corwin ran the counter. Wish TCR was still around but they were costly and we had quite a few speed shops back then Race Prep, Victory Circle, TCR.... Now I can only say to my knowledge Victory Circle is the only one and way to overpriced on parts. You guys sure turned out some nice sprint cars back then.-Weeks

 

Here's a box I found at a garage sale this past summer.
The tag says:Box, Tool, Mechanics', it has type, size, spec. no. Manu P/N, Contract No. made by Simonsen Metal Products, Company Chicago, 51, IL

Does anyone have any info on anything like this?

 

Some of those tools are painted... but are some re-plated?

i just picked up an sk box like the one pictured. i didnt get the front panel though. can someone post pictures of it so i can make one

I have this same one, still has the Blackhawk sticker on the inside of the lid. I want to know more about this one though, I love the wings!!!

Great uncle's, grandpa's, my dad's, and my (my son's) tool boxes.

 

This was gave to me not to long ago, The guy was just gonna toss it off the bluff. I have no clue what year it is. not to dang light takes 2 people to pick it up with no tools.

 

here's one i bought today...its a blackhawk

 

Any suggestions for restoring (painting) a vintage (1940'-50's) craftsman roll-around.
Bottom roll around is ok but the top needs paint. I'm wondering if any one knows where to get the matching color paint. Thanks

 

Going to pick this MAC rollaway up on Sunday night.

 

I traded my everlasting soul to the devil for this tool box, I wasn't using it no how. Really traded an old bow for it. Will make a great battery box in the 34. Think it is a router box. Don't know how old it might be.

 

bumping this back up top with my flea market score from today. 35 bucks got me this older snap on box.

 

Its definitely Rimline I will give you the information on my box that has the same handles
My dad bought this box in 1956 in long island N.Y I have called the Rimline company they have been bought by some other company and they have no vintage parts
My fathers wife gave me the tool box after he past away with all the tools in it
Its been painted about 50 times looks like hell but I would not trade it for the world

Scored this 1965 Snap On box loaded with tools at the Crane Cams
liquidation last month.Pulled the drawers out and found old receipts
from bike shops in Long Beach and stuff leading me to believe the
original/previous owner worked for Holman-Moody.

Here's an old Proto that I picked up at an estate sale over the weekend for $5.00!
It's pretty crusty and will probably stay that way, but it opens and closes pretty good. I love the tag!
Can anyone tell how old it is?

 

I just started restoring a K-60, K200 Art Deco Snap On tool box combo and would like some detailed photos of one of these things if anyone has one.

Here's a couple of pics of an old MAC tob chest I picked up at a garage sale last week. Yes, it was FULL of vintage MAC & Snap-On tools, as well as a Snap-On catalog from 1955 and a MAC catalog from 1960. There were also receipts for tools the original owner had bought dating from 1958 to 1965. One of the receipts showed he was making monthly paynebts to the MAC dealer......$15.00 per week !!

1940's probably - TQ-15 if you have an old catalog.... let me know.

Even came with the warranty card. I emailed snap on already - unable to tell me squat. sad really.

 

2 cent postcard - good til 51 IIRC...

 

Here are a couple of mine. I believe the Snap On is a K-55-R but I have no clue about the roller. It was a nice green and has a circle indented in the lower part of the cover. Very heavy but only 25" wide at the top. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
