Skip's on some Professional car boards too, I think. Seems like a hell of a guy!

French Lake is on my "places to see before I die" list...

  2. Here are my long forgotten 54 Austins. When I got them ages ago the four door was decent, one vert was good enough to fix and the other vert was good for parts only. I did the bad thing of tarping them and letting them sit for many years without even checking on em...tarps rotted away, weeds grew through em, and rainy Washington has eaten them away. I ran into a guy that had a vert on a trailer at the Monroe swap meet and told him what I had. I drug em out so he could check em out and take them for parts, but he never showed. They are back in their places going home to mother earth. Sorry.

Here is one that sat alongside a major highway under a tarp. I finally saw someone there one day and stopped. It wasnt for sale of course! The guy was going thru a divorce and didnt know what he wanted to do with it. Then it disappeared! I think aliens got it!

Hey isn't posting pictures here of cars that can't or can be bought
then not telling anyone where they are just as bad as those that say "Not for sale someday I'm going to restore it"? It seems that if you want to keep it for yourself as a "someday I'm going to buy it" Then keep it to yourself and don't post it...
It's a wicked tease! Almost as bad as the guys who park these things that are not for sale next to a road just so they can tell people it's not for sale... besides the more people ask if it's for sale makes the car all that more expensive when the guy finally decides to sell it... "listen here buddy!! I've had a hundred people after that car, so it's gonna cost you just to take a look under the tarp! I got it.. and you can't have it!

Here's a coupe that I saved that had been sitting for 20 years. Had a 302 Chevy engine, automatic transmission. It's currenty running in low 6's in a 1/8 mile with a blown small block. Check out my avatar...

What became of that 302 motor(Z/28)...Those were some high revvers. Pretty dame rare also...Unless it was a 302 someone built...

What really bothers me about older cars sitting and going to waste, is not the point that they wont sell `em, but atleast put a fricken cover on them, damn!...The site carsinbarns.com has many cars sitting and rotting. Most are muscle cars, but there is a section for antiques as well...Makes you shake your head, while the cars rot away...This thread had some amazing pictures of some nice ass cars...Kinda blows my mind actually of all the pics you guys have shown ...

It is a home made 302 big dome pistons steel crank no heads, they went on a 55 that is still setting beside where my car was sitting, still have the 302 with heads now waiting to go into a model a truck project.

This model a looked way better untill somebody put a blue tarp over it. Tarps keeps the moisture in and they want dry out.
