My god that was the mother of all Thelma & Louise threads!!!!!! It was really cool to meet you, Megan and Malcolm. I am definitely making more time to hang out with you guys in Austin this spring. If not for some conversation then at least for all the backstage shit you all get into!!!! Thanks for posting Denise.

Wow Denise, Next best thing to being there. See ya at the Roundup. Normspeed and I will be there and I think Norm still owes you a beer. Any chance of you coming to Billetproof Ocala? We'll be there too, you could collect sooner. Thanks for the great pix.

Great post, thanks! Don't you just love the cheap flights out of DTW? We usually fly Spirit, only problem is it's almost 2 hours to the airport.

when Nick told me all the stuff you were planning - I did not think it was possible - too many places and too little time........
well - you proved me wrong -

    AND
you posted pix of cars I did not see at the GNRS!?!!!

    What is that?

I walked that place about 3 or 4 times - thinking I had seen everything....well.......guess I must have been going into sensory overload - so I thank you for documenting what I obviously cant remember or just did not see!

Seeya soon and thanks for the story/pix

Hotrodladycruiser should win some sort of award for this post. I do not know a single person there in and yet I have the feeling I was a part of it all. Thank You, Rick..

Wow, do you two know how to have a wonderful weekend.

One question.......where do you get one of those "hour stretchers" that you must have to get so much happening crammed into so little time?

Just the events of one of your days spread out over a week would wear me out!!:D

    Great Pictures too.

your coverage was amazing as usual.the pics are always so good too.always centered,a pleasure to look at.besides writing a book, maybe you and megan should look into being travel agents for car folks...especially ones that come from overseas.i can't think of anyone that can pack so much into so little time...great job.

Wow...Very few people can make you believe you went somewhere when all you really did was sit at your computer for an hour and look at and read a great story of their trip...

Oh by the way I changed my desktop about 15 times because I couldn't decide on a picture...Ended up with that sweet black car on page what ever it was.

Is there gonna be room for some 20 year old kid next year? I really wanna go!!

  20. My employer would like you to know that you owe him at least an hour of the work that I didn't get done while looking at this thread.... hahahaha.

Great coverage! Hopefully I'll meet ya at the roundup.

Thank You; THANK YOU; THANK YOU!!!
This is great. You sure know how to pack 10 pounds of fun into a 5 pound weekend.

  24. This thread is a killer. I need a nap!

  25. I always LOVE your coverage of shows and stuff. Feels like I was there. Will miss seeing you and the gang at Detroit. Hopefully at the Showdown!

    The more the merrier. :D

    PERFECT name for the place!

Miss you too, but it's less then a month since we'll all be together again.;)

While there we were talking about that exact thing. It's very common that folks don't visit stuff right in their own backyard.

I left your name and number with them. You're now first on the list.;)

    You will for sure.

Come to Detroit next month for the Autorama or Austin in April for the Lonestar RoundUp. You deserve it, you work too hard.

It was really nice seeing you there and we would like to take you up on your offer to stop by your shop next year. See ya at the RoundUp.

If you're still in the same place next year maybe we'll stop for a visit on our way from AZ to LA by way of SanDiego after the BJ Auction.

I actually take very detailed notes on who is planning on being there. I/we study the names and notes and talk about who's who, what they drive, what they look like, etc. on the plane or in the car as we drive. Makes it alittle easier.

A nametage in trade for a certain photo not getting posted???:D

You should have been there with us:(.....the group would have been complete.

Thanks bud, I'll edit the photo now. See ya next year for sure.

Thanks for adding this info, EXACTLY what I like to see get posted. No way unless I taped Leslie, to be able to remember all the details about all those cars down there.

Thanks, hope to see you both around again soon.

Yes, did you get my voicemail message??;)

Not exactly sure, maybe on of the HotWheels collectors can confirm BUT I think it might have been built by the Alexander Brothers way back when??

Sorry I won't be able to. I've aready been told I am expected at a family wedding that weekend no excuses.

The impossible part for me would be to cover the show in 10-15 photos and 1000 words. I really like the unlimitless perameters of the internet. Suits my style better.;)

Terry invited us to stay with him and his wife next year during the BJ Auction so hopefully you'll make it there again and we can meet.

Probably not this year, we'll see though.

Living so close to DTW certainly makes it more convenient and afforable to fly to car events.

Megan is the queen of the itinerary. Without a printed schedule we would not have made it to half the places we visited. She needs to do this for a living and I need to document it for the folks that are on the "tour".:D

Always room for one more. Lots of GREAT HAMB folks in the Omaha area. Come to a Meet in Greet in the area and meet some of the locals.

I'm going to hold you to that sweetie!:D

This is Deora II, designed by Nathan Proch of Hot Wheels. It was a HW car first in the early 2000s, then Chip Foose built the full sized one in 2004. It has some kinda rowdy V8 (forget what kind) in the bed.

Denise, you're part right; it was inspired by the original Deora, built by the Alexander Brothers. It was one of the first Hot Wheels in 1968. Harry Bradley did the HW Deora for sure, and may have designed the fullsize Deora as well -- which in this case came first.

No way, I own a piece of you know, as you do a piece of my dignity.

We had a talk about the party and it won't happen again.

    :D

  29. Awesome !!!!

  30. OK...we bumped into you kids a couple times, but where did you have the helicopter hidden? You can't travel around Hell-A and see as much as you guys did with just an all doors white rental.
