We use Panther Piss(PB Blaster) for everything around the shop. Works pretty good, but for some reason we are always out or there are just a few drops left in the can

PB Blaster it's what makes the world go round (really it does)...Either that or JB 80...Sold by the Justice Brothers guy...not sure if they still sell it. But we've got cases of it at the shop...It's got a unique smell but it works great....PB is my #1 though...you can soak an engine in that **** come back in 20 minutes and it'll be runnin'...Think I'm kiddin' try it.

You may not believe it but if you soak it in Coca Cola it will unstick anything. I had an old timer tell me to pour it into a motor to unfreeze it. It worked when nothing else did. My 2 cents.

My dad loved PB Blaster (he has deen gone 30 years now) ,he once used it in the cyl's of a 265 Chev. it loosened the rings so well that it smoked like Hell. We kidded him about that for years.

Sea Foam makes one that I use when PB fails, but is about 7 a can. Has anyone ever tried electrolytic? It was in Rod and Custom May 07.

PB, is the best..first strike the nut or bolt to shock it, that will give it some fine cracks in the threads. Remember is must wick its way down the threads so be patient.

Update on that Volvo oil..........it contains isobutane and propane according to the MSDS sheet.
The MSDS also warns of frostbite and freezer burn if contacted on mucus membranes or if enough gets on the skin. I have gotten some on the skin before and not had a problem so they must mean large quan***ies.
This stuff is incredible! I challenge you guys to buy it .....See for your self

  26. I did PB Blaster on my carb studs on the rusted intake I got. Also used it on the studs of the exhaust manifolds and they had been in there for 50 years. Sprayed and let it sit and did this for about a week. Every time I walked by them I hit it with a squirt. Heated the exhaust studs and everything came right out.

For the price and availability....PB Blaster. It may not be the absolute best, but you don't have to mail order or find a airport or swedish car dealership to get it.

The only problem is if you don't use it all in a couple of weeks or so, the can loses it's pressure. A guy at a machine shop, that uses it, told me that it works so good that it penetrates it's own seals in the can and allows the propellant to escape.

I end up with a third of a can trapped inside. I drill a hole and drain it in my old Cragar lug nut mug and apply it with a 1" brush. I actually don't waste that much that way.

And I agree with the method of shocking it first, apply the stuff, and shock it again.

You can buy it by the gallon too!

PB blaster and Loosey Goosey are my picks but that freeze off from NAPA sounds real interesting.

got me interested... Earlier you mentioned heat upon removal. Are you sure that's not the normal heat from turning threads that are gunked up?

Haven't got to try this myself, but getting excellent reports from several buddies who have been around a long time and tried lots of different ****.

Fairly pricey, but supposedly works so good it lasts a long time. (Like the old Brylcreem ads ... " a little dab will do ya")
Also reported to work very quickly, no extended soaking required.
