Grundy client, Chris Young, says that the real highlight of his time with his '64 VW Transporter was in December of 1999, when he received a phone call from Playboy Magazine, requesting the usage of his vehicle for the centerfold of the May 2000 issue.

Chris' story appeared in an issue of the Grundy Weekly Reader that showcased his bus for collectors across the country to read.

Other featured Grundy-insured cars have included J.R. Goodman’s ’72 Challenger that was chosen to be restored on the TLC show Overhaulin’ and Don Freedman’s 1937 Ford Woodie that travels to car shows with his American Rods and Rides display.

Other newsletters have featured personalities like Barry White from the TLC program Wrecks to Richesand Grundy Underwriting Manager Chuck Wasoski—who both rely on Grundy Worldwide when making sure their own collector vehicles are insured properly. We also feature stories on car clubs, such as a recent article on the Pachuco Car Club that is based out of California.

The Grundy Weekly Reader, Grundy Worldwide's e-newsletter, offers you the chance to tell the story about your Grundy-insured collector vehicle; we also welcome stories on clubs.

The e-mailed publication is mailed weekly and features Grundy news, an events calendar and a news article that often details the story behind one car and its owner.
That next story could be about you and your car!

Every collector vehicle has a special story behind it. Grundy Worldwide would like to tell fellow hobbyists the story behind your baby.
E-mail a photo of your car and a brief description of why it would be perfect for the Grundy Weekly Reader to: newsletter@grundy.com today!

Don't really have a story to share at the moment, but I have been happily insured through Grundy for many years and can thoroughly recommend you guys.

Welcome to the HAMB Becky - any chance Grundy might become an Alliance Vendor?

That reminds me, I have been meaning to get my old rides off Geico and onto more appropriate insurance. Need to move that up on the to-do list. Thanks for the reminder.

I have been with Parrish/Heacock the last 4 years with my 32 and 63 Nova. Only time I hear from them is at premium time. Is Grundy better?

Wish I could find a cheep place to insure my 2007 Superbee with the Hemi 6.1 in it that I drive 1,000 miles a year. Regular insurance is crazy high!

Grundy themselves are great. great coverage,, great price, great talking to them,,...but whoever they farm the actual work out to when you make a claim, are FAR from great. extremely difficult to deal with. (at least in my case) you can PM me if you want further info. and just for the record, i still have grundy.

This post is a little confusing - if I am reading you right, what I understand is that Grundy are great, but that when it comes to claiming with a claims adjuster (who is not a Grundy employee), that your experience is not that great. I think you need to make it clearer that this is not a Grundy problem but a third party problem.

sorry about that, i thought i had made it clear. i like everything about Grundy, but when you make a claim, you (or at least i didn't) don't deal directly with them. they handed me off to an entirely different company. i believe it's called an underwriter?

anyway, sorry about this. this thread wasn't really about the quality of grundy, but stories for them to use in their newsletter. someone asked about em, so i posted a quick thought.

    back to business as usual!!

Grundy covers all of my vehicles. Great policy, great rates. If I had known how hot Becky is I would have traveled there in person to apply rather than over the internet.:D:D:D

I had a claim with Grundy a few years ago ..Could not ask for any better service from them and the claims adjuster... The Check was sent to me in less than 36 hours and even took care of the additional items that were needed during the repair after the adjuster left.................

I guess I can explain too- most insurance companies use local adjusters for claims so if you are having problems with adjusters- you should let Grundy know (which by this posting they now do as Becky IS Grundy) -they arnt the company but DO represent them so they need to know if anyother adjusting company should be used.

I for one have been on both ends of insurance claims for classics and Grundy BY FAR is the easiest to deal with...

My agent is a car guy and years and years of knowing the hobby . If anyone wants his info Id be happy to pass it along- He does NY/NJ New England and Florida I think....

Yep happy Grundy Customer here as well. I like how annually they auto increase your car value, and the past two years the insured value has gone up but the premium has gone down.

Soooooo Becky, how you doin'? Boyfriend? Married? Long walks on the beach?

I sure wish we could get private insurance on our stuff up here. We're stuck with Gov'mnt insurance and it sucks.

Nothing but good results with Grundy. A few friends have had claims (fortunately I never have ) and they got terrific quick service.

My local agent dumped Grundy for some no name company,so I dumped the agent. So did a bunch of my car club members.

  30. I know this is off topic, but "Gov'mnt" sucks at everything they do.
