What the hell did you guys do to me ???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kerry67, Feb 9, 2009.

  1. Hey man, I'm not bashing anyone who actually takes the time to make the ride look half *** decent and at least sound good. This guy had a piece of ****. I totally dig any ride that has some kind time and effort in it. This one, alas, did not. That's what I'm taling about...about 90% of those kinds of cars (around here) don't have any effort in them. 3 colors & gl***packs to make them sound good. That's it. Kudos to the ones that do because they do look good. Not my cup of tea but to each their own. If your's looks good then great! Finally someone who can take care of there ride.

As you'll see, my coupe has several colors going on and it's soo not done. But the engine is good and it sounds good. And it's not a daily that'll be seen all the time. :D Just my thoughts.

The one thing that the traditional crowd has is respect for one another and respect for each others expressions. :cool:I really like that. I too got completely wore out listening to the judgements of others. I had some ***hole give me the thumbs down once while I was driving down the street. **** them kind of people, I'm not out to gain the satisfaction of others. What I have and how I built it is for me to live with.

I have owned muscle cars but I want something 50's or older bad. I don't care if your into traditional rods, or flatheads, or only chevy's as long as your cool and enjoy cars that's what I like. I hate the stuck up trailer queen ***hats. I bought my mustang for a great deal and thats the only reason I got it but I fun in it and dont care what people think.

I agree with you some, I am getting tired of looking at red camaros, 350/350 in everything. I do enjoy seeing the different motors in the hot rods. I am going to buy a 53 old's rocket motor today. I do own a 71 ss/rs 396 camaro. There were about 600 built. This is a rare car, I have a complete car. While in the prosses of tearing it down I was trying to figure out how wanted to put it back.

Most people said keep it original, because it is a rare car. Others said build it like you want it. So after many years of thinking I decided to build it like I wanted. So to be different I have had 2000 corvette side marker lights smoothed into the body, 95 Buick door handles smoothed in, And as of right now I want to drop in a vintage hemi. so that when the I open the hood I can watch all of the It need's to be perfect croud faint. it's going to be great. I also have a 47 ford mordoor flathead and all.

it's cool i understand where you are coming from. i hope when i get this one done it will change a lot of peoples perceptions about imports. most of the guys onthe site i belong to build them the old way,the same as people here do,there is almost zero aftermarket for our cars, so everyone has had to figure it out themselves. i've just spent two and a half years figuring how to put 1970's sidedraft carburators, SU's at that, on an 86 car lol. I do hope when i get it back on the road, someone who has built a half *** car parks next to me ,so i can do the same thing. not many people have heard an import that sounds like this. Maby it's the iron block and no weedeater veetek. I guess the closest thing to the people who build these things are the ones who restore and drive the old datsun 510's and z cars. lots of heritage and racing history there. most of those guys would never think of a fart can or some tacky **** on their cars. it's all rodding if you put forth the effort and at least try your best. :D
