It doesn't make ANY difference WHO you do it for...it's still ripping off someone's time, sweat and it's stealing...

I make a living by doing art...I GET PAID for it...it pays my mortgage and helps me build my cars...I've been getting paid for doing art for over thirty years...

The first thing you should have done: contact the person that did the art and ASK if it was OK to use it...we have the means right here on the HAMB to contact the artist...and prolly most of them might be flattered to use it for children...but YOU didn't...(or whoever stole the art and modified it in the first place...) You said it's "not yours"...who then...???)

I'm really surprised you even posted it here...makes me wonder what else of mine has been ripped off...

I'm always impressed with the talent here!
natas, that's a great image - is it a photo, or super tight painting?
and my hat's off to mckustoms. carving wood takes patience!
Here's a bronze shift knob I made, worked directly in the wax, so it's the only one:

It is a photo. Used a heavy polarizing filter and a light reflector to really light the rubber up. I did do a little photoshop work darkening up the pavement a little and shifting the hue of the sky, otherwise it's all photo.

Also, I've done some bronze in the past, fun stuff, Looks good.

    Thanks I appreciate the compliment.
This is a couple repeats from about 3years ago, but these are my Fav. No photoshop here.

  21. Maybe this doesn't belong on a hot rod post but......(Jeff, I posted before I'd read you comment, sorry.)

Kind of a repost but more complete. This is the beginning of a series I started years ago.
I know it resembles a T'bird/'Vette hybrid but that's partially intended.

More on that later...( must speak to the moderator before I go any further with this.)

    BETA PROJECT (prototype car No.1)

This is nothing compared to some of the work done here but I figured I would share this. The artist and I co-designed my tattoo and I had it done last Sept.

  24. GaryC, NATAS, Zombie, Creature, LowCab, etc., etc. etc. great show everyone.

Sonny D, That hood is beautiful. Great score on the job!

    40StudeDude You've said it perfectly.

I reserve the right to make my own coloring book using my own art, thank you very much.

Thanks for the good word Gary. This is from my design studio and was proposed
9 years before I was born. Imagine that?!

Kruhe67 How about you share with us all the "borrowed" art you've used over on the F.A.S.T. group so we can see what you've been up to.
Ask permission, that's a good place to start.
