Some cool cars on this thread... really dig the chopped '56. I've stood back and looked at my car and tried to imagine what it would look like w/ a little off the top.

Thanks BadBob. Me and my buddy Dru regret not talking with you in Sac. Everytime we walked by there you looked busy so we didn't want to bug you.

Here's some pics of mine, the first ones are when I bought it, $500 on eBay. Drove it on the trailer, titled and everything.

These next pics show it after paint, but I'm working on the car now to correct some things on it. I found the correct tail fins, got some better trim where some of mine was pitted or poor, I've got Ventshades for it and fender skirts, fixing the interior, ect. It'll be much nicer this spring when I (hopefully) finish up the details.

  9. How about the Aussie version. 1961 AP3 Chrysler Royal Ute. The AP stands for Australian Plymouth the 3 is because it is the 3rd in the series.
I've been told that only a couple hundred of these where made (utes that is), if so that makes it pretty rare.

So far I have replaced the floor on both sides inner and outer sills both sides Both rear quarters, reskined the tailgate replaced the beaver panel below the tail gate and most of inside the tray. I still have to finnish shaving the door handles and tiddy up a few small things before paint. colours will be pashion rose for the turret and fire wall and most of the interior metal moldings and wimbeldon white for the rest of the body.

It's running an early 70's 318/904 with the diff also taken from the same car. Still to do the disk brake conversion.
It's been a big job but Iv'e been enjoying the work.

Here is my 1955 Dodge C3-B8 pick up. The first picture is what it looked like the day I bought it, and the rest are some steps along the way of the full restoration. It's powered by a 259ci poly with 3 on the tree. The truck was in amazing shape when I got it hardly any rust, just a few spots on the bottom of the doors and a couple on the floor of the cab. The truck should be complete by the beginning of this summer.

Richard! Wow... Good to see you here.

Glad you still got a '56!

  21. Wow! Back when I started my '56 Belvedere project, I almost never saw or heard about 56's on the HAMB. I love the '56 body, miss mine. Here are some pics for those who haven't seen it....it's in the Netherlands now.:(

This is cool I've just started building a 55 Coronet. Any one know were I can get a kit to put a 318 in it? Also how have you guy been lowering them? I was going to cut coils on the front and use blocks on the rear. The 318 I have to put in it is out of an 82 Dippy.
    thanks

For some reason, I've developed a real affinity for these cars. I never really paid attention to them until recently and I find them to be real good-looking cars with nice lines. I sure wouldn't mind having one someday.
