I'm a 50 chev fanatic and finally bought a fastback, I've wanted one for soo long I'm not sure what I want to do to one anymore. I REALLY like the skirts and whitewalls but had an idea I might like as well. I always thought I'd like to do a sedan g***er, a fastback didn't appeal to me as much so I photochopped both. What are your thoughts? P.S. That's not my car, I robbed the pic offa e-bay!

They both look good, but it would be like comparing apples to oranges.

Personally, I'm diggin' the g***er look.

Granted I've never been what you would call a "Chevy guy" but I never knew they made a fast back. I kinda like the looks of it though.

Chop it!!!!! Slammed on the ground in the rear wide whites skirts!!!! Loose the visor.

If I could find an all stock 49-50 id put skirts on it wide whites and drop it in the rear tail dragger

The trad look is so friggin typical, as much as I love it. If it was a g***er, I wanna paint it some candy lime green/gold base I have mixed up in my head. I forgot to mention, I think I have this transverse leaf, hairpin, STAINLESS straight axle available that was built for a 50 chev!

Sloper looks better as the taildragger. A business coupe makes a better g***er. That's just me...

+1 on that. It would look better as a custom. If it was a business coupe then head on as a g***er.

After waiting all this time to find your dream car, I'm surprised that you don't already have it pretty much built...in your mind, at least.

I've never understood the allure of the g***er look. I guess they're great, as long as you don't plan to drive the car much. Sure, everybody will point and stare and say "how cool is that"...but when the show is over, you're the one who has to live with it.

With a mild custom, on the other hand, you can drive it everywhere - every day if you want to - and really enjoy it. You won't scare too many old ladies with a mild custom, but you won't quickly tire of it, either.

Yup, what they said - WWW!

    Good luck with your project.

Sloper = taildragger, coupe/sedan = g***er. Yeah there's a little leeway there, but a fleetline as a g***er just doesn't do it for me. They don't need much to make 'em cool. :)

Again, I agree, you'll HATE this though, I've wanted a fastback since ooo I dunno... 1980, I actually bought one back then and got scared, too many projects , and sold it in two days. Its just that I seem to like them even if they're bone stock. That's why the wishywashy!

Please don't turn it into a g***er. Leave it stock or take it kustom. That's the way to go.

Are the Pictures youve presented totaly photoshopped? or just the added features..? It all depends on how rough the car is..

Its your car.. it would look cool either way..

What ever happened to the 2-door wagon you were building way back when? (Scott, am I correct???)
