  15. If any of you guys want to see how my trip to the Merc Gathering went, just check out my thread,"Adventures of Bad Bob#6,Autorama Road trip". Lots of pic's. It was a great trip, except for the damage to my oilpan when I bottomed out. Car drove great and the Merc building will always be a highlite of my life!!! Hirohata,Sam Barris,Welch,Jeff Nepl,Bertolucci,Ralph Testa,OZ Customs,Kevan Sledge,51 Mercules Barn Find Custom,Joe Fig,American Graffitti CloneTerry Hagen. An amazing collection of Mercurys!!!!!

  16. It was one hell of a show wasnt it Bob?? I remember sitting in there trying to soak it all up and telling myself " Jeff absorb all of this because you will be looking back on this forever". Sure enough, here we are a week later and im wishing I was there right now. :(

The show was awsome.I can't count the amount of time I sat in the loft area and viewed the Mercs from overhead. It reminded of the old I pic's I saw in the old car magazines when I was growing up.It was surreal.

  19. Will do!!!

  20. I know just what you and Jeff are talking about! It was like living through a dream. It's always been Mercurys for me! Ever since I was a kid. Standing on the balcony and looking down,it was too much to absorb! Merc overload! I really wish it was put on down here though. There would have been 100 SoCal Mercs sitting outside!

  21. You know Bob,I have to agree with you. It could of been in that same building where they had the 32's a couple of years ago(i think that is building 9). The merc drive inn would of been insane!!!!!! I thought that a while back ago but I didnt say anything about it.

I'm in, 63 Comet wagon and 64 Park Lane convertible, both projects. Not seeing too many other Merc wagons on here, there must be a few others...

So who's gonna put together the So-Cal Merc reunion?

  25. I'm thinking of putting together a Merc gathering at Bob's Broiler,in Downey, after it opens this summer. What do you guys think? Just a bunch of 39 to 56 Mercurys. There's room for about 200 cars there,if we can use the rear lot too. I would open it up to all Merc owners, not just HAMBers. Best thing....IT WOULD BE FREE!!!!!! Maybe I could get them to give a meal deal or discount.
If it goes well,it could be an anual deal.
What do you guys think? Should I start planning it?
Mercurys only! No Fords,Chevys,Mopars,or anything else. The only bad thing would be the parking for visiters. Not a lot of places to park around there.

    Any thoughts????

If Axle ever does another Hall of Mercs, I'd love to have my '39 there. Its not historic, but I think it might fit in with the other pre-war taildraggers! :D

Looks like it's straight out of the late 40's or early 50's JB. Nice ride to say the least; love the color.
