Finally bought my dream car,...now what?

Do an early 50's dechroming and go Www- oh, keep the six, too (Egge makes Wayne repops)!

 

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I still have the car, just no time, I'm easily distracted, I've now got 5 cars in little pieces. wouldn't you know after 19 years there's some guy in KY building my car and it looks like he's doing a pretty good job at it, there's only one thing I don't like that I've seen so far... I still hope to do mine someday!

 

they are both cool but I like the G***ER...the best

 

I gotta be different, I like the g***er look. The fast back makes it unique. Could use some fenderwell headers, California red suade and racing stickers on the quarter windows.

 

Leave the WWW's, lose the skirts, lose the visor. But I'm a little biased
in my opinion.........

fastbacks look better long and low but that g***er idea looks awesome too

Go custom,drop it ,lose the visor,get some fat white walls,chop it ,cruise it ,dont look back.

 

50 Fleetline's are *****in. Even this one and I usually don't like moredoors.

I owned a 1950 Fleetline all stock with polished torque thrust with small white walls and two inch lowering blocks. It was cool just to drive around but I sold it!

I'm waiting for the g***er madness to end. G***er **** on that particular car would be a felony. Low and slow here too...

the g***er look is great for looking at your car with an occasional run . the mild custom is for driving. keep a 6 in it and join the Inliners International. built 292, 3x1's, cam, headers, stock rear (or?) t5 or 700r4 for highway. good luck with whatever you choose...just build the darn thing

 

Scott, I know whatever you do will be killer. I am thinking back to the 80s and a Brown Olds Fastback that was in Hot Rod about 86 or so, slammed in front sort of a "hot custom" Around that same time there was a couple drawings by Dave Bell with the same "low g***er" look.

 

Never really cared too much for fenderskirts on much anything personally, but I REALLY dig that G***ER -look...In fact I´ve never seen too many Fleetlines set up like that so I say go with that option...

 

I have both styles ,and as for me the fleetlines are made to be cruisers , lowered skirts and smooth. The coupes and sedans have a better body for hot rodding and g***er styles in IMHO . My 50 coupe is high and looks the part of a g***er. Fleetline is pretty stock for now

so scott,since when have you ever given a **** about what anyone else thought anyway?and i mean that in a nice way.i am convinced you already have a plan.whatever it is,we know it will turn out fantastic

 

i'm sure that no matter what, it's gonna be spectacular. there are few people that have the skills, taste and 'testicular for***ude' that you have. flip a coin, get going and take lots of pics...
