ford flathead head interchange question

Can the 24 stud heads with the water outlets in the center be used on the later engines that have water outlets at the front?

 

Yes - some water passages and gasket issues. Search - lots of posts on this.

 

That search tool really is neat. There was a thread with the heading of "Early heads on an 8BA flattie???". Found it with the search. Now I just have to figure out how to link it to this thread.
